I agree with you. All I would add is please give us a win over the pukes....I don't care if it's at home or on the road....just beat the pukes....once would be nice, twice would be heaven!

Has it been that bad over the last years that you would really be happy with 8-8? I sure hope the players don't feel that way, I know Gibbs doesn't.
maybe you think that. i think just about everyone was screaming playoffs last year, with the additions of coles, thomas, and fiore..... 5-11. we aren't a very good team right now. potential, yes. performance, not yet. it may take a few weeks(or months) to get there. the schedule is always that tough. did you think carolina would be in the superbowl? case closed. you can't go by what teams did last year to rate the schedule. if that were so, anyone who plays the skins this year would be thinking easy win. that dosen't happen in the real nfl. everything changes year to year in this league. i think you gotta go in thinking, try your best at a minimum, after that whatever happens, happens.

Absolutely! I will be totally disappointed with an 8-8 season. With the schedule, and the talent level (both coaches and players) we have, we should easily get to 10-6. I think you have to set a playoff entry as your minimum standard of a good season.

Most skins fans tend to be a bit pessimistic these days. Like Ramsey has to be deprogrammed, so must we the fans. I used to get so fired up and talk smack to all my friends about how good the skins were going to be. That was a very hard lesson to learn, and it took me awhile. The last few years, I've kept myself tempered.

Even with Gibbs and Buges back, I still find myself very reserved in my opinion of our ending record and position this season. I'm just happy Gibbs is back. As many have stated, we will NO longer see sloppy play or players give up in games. This has been our main problem since Joe left.

That being said, my prediction for the season is 8-8. I can see how we could win 11 games, but I'm a bit worried about it taking 3 or 4 games for Gibbs to get the guys going smoothly.

We've had lots of talent for years. I personally think we have one of the most talented teams in the NFL. It's soo funny now. I've got all these friends saying how good the Skins are gonna be now, and I'm sitting there saying, well in time yeah. Few years ago it was exactly the opposite lol. Reprogramming starts now 8)

Well, I'm the eternal optimist. Even when we suck, I still know we have the best team in the NFL. I just can't see how, with the coaching staff we have now, we won't win those games we lost, the last few seasons, that we should have won (6 games last year by 7 or less). Gibbs will not let us lose those games. I think we were ahead in the 4th quarter in all but four or five games last year too. Joe knows how to protect a lead. The D will be back in the top 10, if not top 5, under Gregg Williams. That translates to a winning season. I'm saying 11-5. We win the 6 we should, and split the other 10.

I have a good friend who is a diehard Lions fan. Every year in the pre-season he says "we're going to win the Superbowl!". Then every year about halfway through he says "it's hockey season".

I agree with you riggofan. 8-8 will be disappointing IMO. We have the best coaching and tons of talented players. Most of the tough games that are on our schedule are being played at FedEx. I still say 10-6.

I don't think 8-8 will be a crap season. It's not what I am expecting but there are so many new players that it will be tough for them to gel as a unit.

bingo. coaching only carries you so far. people are trying to compare gibbs' outcome with what puscells did last year. one little thing that everyone has failed to mention is that there wasn't much of a roster turnover in dallass. they had a defense and defensive coordinator that had been in place, and that was kept in place. again, i'm not saying we won't have a breakout season, but its seem more realistic that we hit around 8-8.

I think everyboy should relax and enjoy the season. If they go 8-8 so be it, Gibbs is back so sit back and watch the magic happen.
