And to GF defense, the Gnats O-line as stunk for years.. I think Dorsey fill in for Buckhalter postition fine... just not against the Skins

I guess we'll see. I think if he had anything left, he would have been in a camp somewhere.

Check out levens #'s the past 4 years and i invite anyone to make case that he's not washed up...yeah, less than 1000 yards rushing in the past four seasons COMBINED...he's not washed up

And again I point out his 5.5 yards per carry in 2002. Man, that's a really awful average.

so is 411 yards is 16 games

...but i'm sure it was productive 25 yards a game
400 yards rushing was by far the best year he had in four seasons and you're defending him...c'mon man, just admit you're being a homer on this one...

I'm not being a homer. He was asked to do few things in 2002. Run a couple times a game and pick up the blitz. He'll be asked to do the same things this year.
I may be homerish when I say that Tapeh will get a lot of carries. He's got that all-important potential working for him.

Even with this injury, getting rid of Stephen Davis was a bigger Redskin's fauxpas than the "Wiggles" getting rid of Staley, IMO.

You are raving about Dorsey Levens??? HAHAHHA He is so washed up and slow! He is a lot more washed up then Eddie George! He blows and the Eagles run game is going nowhere!

ok, i'm not saying that levens is terrible but he is 34 and he's NOT an equal replacement to buckhalter...and i'm sure that you feel the same way but your eagle pride is getting in the way...

and what's your point? i don't think anyone here said that getting rid of stephen davis was a good idea...

RedskinsRule56 speaks the truth. I would like to see Dorsey Levens pick up the blitz, when Marcus Washington is coming right at him.
Sorry Dorsey, you cannot call a timeout when a play has started!

No, but some of us are acting like getting rid of Staley is the biggest F-up in the history of football. Just wanted to put it in perspective...

This from the people who think Joe Gibbs is a magic wand that can be waved to wipe away all their team's troubles.
If you think I'm raving over Dorsey go back and read my posts again.

ok, why don't you quote that post where somebody made such an outrageous claim...
actually, i think was the first to bring staley into the conversation and hindsight being 20/20 i don't think anyone could argue that they should have kept him...

ah, changing the subject...probably your best bet
as i go back and read your posts again, feel free to read mine again as well...and i will continue to say that levens is NOT an equal replacement to buckhalter

That was for the esteemed Mr. Rule and Mr. Stouff. I'm terribly sorry if you feel left out because I didn't address your point in my last post. Just to make it up, here's a little something just for you.
General Failure wrote:Dorsey Levens was signed today. No better than Eddie George right now, but he's cheap, available, and already knows the system.
Go Tapeh!

If you can find anywhere where I
did say he's an equal replacement to Buckhalter please let me know. I believe the only area I rate Dorsey over Buck is in receiving. CBuck isn't a very good receiver.
What I did say was he had a good year with limited carries when he was with the Eagles. Arguably a better year than Buck had last year, considering Buck only managed to get 131 yards more than Levens with 51 more carries. I'm not really bored enough for that argument, but feel free to say I did anyway.
