True, but Taylor has not said anyhting negative and the idea that he is unhappy with his contract is all SPECULATION because he fired his agents. Give him the chance to establish himself. The only real difference is that he is a rookie and Lavar is not

hk,

I fully agree with you about it being "speculation". But, if it looks like a dog and smells like a dog, then it probably IS a dog. Granted it's only speculation now, but why else would he have fired the agents that helped him with the contract? I think the writing is on the wall. He saw what other players got, and now he wants more. Irregardless of it all being "speculation", he's exhibiting quite a lot of instability at a stage when he needs to show what he can do. Personally, if I was a rookie and I just got $13million dollars as a signing bonus, I'd go straight to work and not even worry about getting more money. Forget about what the other draft picks got! As I said, I disagree with the comparison to trading LaVar Arrington, but like you, for now I will give Taylor the benefit of the doubt. I just hope he doesn't make money such an issue right now. He's been given a golden opportunity to make $40 million dollars. It's time to show us what he can do. We'll talk again about the money in another year or two. Snyder is not adverse to "renegotiating" a contract, as he proved with Clinton Portis. So, Sean should just sit tight for right now and play some ball!
Sit back and watch the Redskins.

SOMETHING MAGICAL IS ABOUT TO BEGIN!

I agree with hkHog...he makes great points in his post. Lavar is a headach, and CAN'T GET RIGHT.

Yeah y'all, let's trade Lavar...and then we can all go snort lines with Quincy Carter, lol

Really tho, I'm not too worried about Sean Taylor and his agent/other issues. He's in camp, and learning the system...he may not be happy with his deal and crying a little sour grapes, but the front office will do a good job (wait, did I say front office and do a good job?!?) of assuring him that his contract is a fair one, esp. for a defensive player who hasn't played a down. One thing I'll say is that he'd be fortunate if Drew decided to take him as a client again because in essence, he was cheated out of his 3% of the brokered deal. He shorted 'Jerry Maguire' of all people, Drew would be a good guy to take him back. ;)
Two formation shifts, one man in motion, and a counter trey...those were the days...

hkHog wrote:I think that we should trade Lavar Arrington and see what we can get for him. C'mon the guy is a total headcase. He throws pies in rookies eyes and he signed a contract and now he's upaet because he didn't get what he thought he should have. I think he's going to hold out to get the contract he wanted. I bet he'll fire his agents too. Well whatever happens this shows he has no character and doesn't want to be a Redskin. He's not a real pro and doesn't want to be a great player, he just wants the money. These are some serious character issues guys.

We really need to get the season started in a hurry IMHO!
I am in a state of ecstasy! Never mind that nonsense about euphoria and so on. It is sheer, unadulterated, uncompromising ecstasy!

I'm in the minority here. While hkhog's post seems "ridiculous" to most, I happen to be one who is unhappy with Lavar's play up until this point in his career.

"Mr. Redskin"???? By default, maybe (due to his tenure and marketability). Are we ready to put this guy along the ranks of D. Green by calling him that (not in terms of fan-friendliness [before that can is opened, again] )??? Please.

I've heard all the apologies in the past about different systems/coordinators/etc and their effect on "Mr. Redskin's" play. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, considering Joe is here for 5 years. I guess we will FINALLY be able to assess this guy's "potential".

As for the $6.5 million, he should let the organization keep it in return for all the money it's spent hyping up this player throughout his tenure here.
Back and better than ever!
