After signing his contract renegotiating became impossible by league rules...something his old/new agent must have told him by now. If he doesnt act like he wants to be a great football player for atleast this year who's going to discuss reworking a contract with him

Chalktalk wrote:They made a big mistake with this boy.

He was drafted because of his size, speed and ability on the field where's the mistake, he showed all of that in the HOF game

Gambit187 wrote:1. Fires his agent after the draft

How this hurt the team? he was in camp on time there are others picked before and after him that are still no shows

Gambit187 wrote:2. Takes a shaving cream pie to the face is blinded cannot practice.

Next you're going to tell us this was something HE planned and not something that happens in camps around the league...again I must ask how did he hurt the team?

Gambit187 wrote:3. Misses several team functions

He missed 1

Gambit187 wrote:4. Leaves the mandatory Rookie seminar

Was the team hurt by this?...didn't think so

Gambit187 wrote:5. Hires an agent at the last minute

Must have wanted to be in camp on time

Gambit187 wrote:6. Comes QB camp and sprains his knee, MRI's negative, so he does not work out the first couple of days of practice.

No one plans to get hurt.. and I see you're having math problems again he did not practice 1 day not a couple

Gambit187 wrote:7. Fires his agent because he feels his deal is too light.

You'll never agree but maybe he realized that he had made a mistake and went back to the beginning

Sooner or Later we're going to find your bridge ChalkTalk :D

He is young he will get his act together if he is smart. He is playing for a great coach.

I think what a lot of us are overlooking is Coach Gibbs' ability to deal with his players. He is a player's coach who does care about each individual as a person. If this player is truly a problem and a "poison" to the team, he will be gone. All of us know that Gibbs will not tolerate someone who is going to disrupt things and become a distraction to the team. I say that if Gibbs allows this player to become a major problem, he needs to assume some of the blame. He'll never let it get to that.

Just my thoughts!

Taylor, from what I saw in the preseason game, is not lacking for confidence on the field. That's the first step.
Let me qualify this with a quote from Will Rogers, a famous dead guy who could handle a rope.
"You can be on the right track all you want, but you're still gonna get run over if you just sit there."
Ha ha ! Get it ?
Me neither. Must be something he did with the rope. (D. Barry)

I kinda get the same vibe Jeremy81. Miami is pretty shady when it comes down to those aspects of the game, but I think with some guidance and an occasional swift kick in the @ss from the coaching staff and his veteran teammates, he will turn out just fine.

Gambit had some strong points too, but only time will tell. Winslow makes this guy look like a choir boy if you ask me. So we at least build off from that.
