Who is the wimpiest player to ever play in the NFL?

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

We can agree to disagree, but we are also going to have to disagree over whether Deion was a "total pansy bitch". The fact that he shied away from tackling does not make him a bitch. In fact, even though he is much more willing to help against the run, I don't think Champ Bailey does a much better job than Deion ever did. He just kind of dives at the runningbacks legs and hopes that it knocks him over. I also know for a fact Champ let a few footballs bounce off his facemask. Is he a pansy bitch?

I understand why you think Deion is soft: his tackling ability. But this is the same man who not only played both ways for his football team, but played two sports, occasionally in the same week, and if he wanted to, probably could have won a gold medal in the track and field events at the Olympics. He has put together one of the most remarkable sporting careers ever, playing through pain and deliviring winners wherever he goes.

I guess I just can't get over how little you think of him. Was he a tough guy? No, he wasn't. But calling him a total pansy bitch is a bit extreme. Those labels should be reserved for people like, oh I don't know, soccer players:

Actually SSIII, I'm a Braves fan in baseball, and I thought he was a TPB in that sport too. He might have actually been good at it one day if he had been willing to commit.

As for this picture:Image
I'd have to see the whole play to see how he made the tackle. Chances are the receiver was already on his knees when Deion came flying in.

I think a true total pansy bitch would have just slapped two hands on a guy if his knees were already down, don't you?

Now you don't like Deion because he didn't commit to baseball? I agree, anyone who can't do two sports is a pansy bitch. I'm sure it was torture having a .277 leadoff hitter without absolutly blazing speed and a slick glove. But what, he didn't run into the catcher hard enough for your taste?

I never said the guy wasn't a great athlete! But being fast doesn't mean that a guy is tough. No, a true TPB would make a hit when the guy was down, so that people like you would think he was tough. In this picture, Deion is really making more of an arm-tackle than laying a solid stick on the guy anyway. And, to my recallection he never ran into a catcher, but rather chose to avoid a hit at all costs. Why are you so in love with him anyway?

I'm not in love with him, I just can't understand why you hate him so. Whatever, it's not important, but I can't even begin to comprehend the fact that you think, out of all the punters and kickers that havve played professional football in the NFL's 84 year history, that arguably the best cornerback ever to play the game was the wimpiest of them all...

I thought about this for awhile, and I think my answer is Bill Gramatica. I mean come on. You are a kicker. Your legs are your life blood and number 1, you hurt yourself jumping up and down after making a field goal in a meaningless game and number 2, your leg that kicks long field goals can't withstand the weight of your 27 pound frame?

Agreed. It would have to be one of those European soccer players who prances onto the field to "keek zee touchdown!"
