Okay let me toss my penny in!
LaVar is not a nerd. I think a lot of it is nerves! But Also LaVar isn't like a lot of these football players who can't speak and shouldn't because they have nothing to say but jibberish and just sound plain horrible! and if Lavar wants to think for a sec before soemthing comes out of his mouth to make him look like an uneduacated fool.. there's nothing wrong with that... I thought what he said about reagan etc... was cool as hell! I never thought anything like that and I know most people didn't either! I really enjoy watching lavar he has a wonderful personality and isn't too bad looking to either!
Oh and What do you mean what does outkast and the bet awards have to do with football?

are you serious? that can be said for a lot of stuff on total access! but i think it's pretty obvious! They are keeeping there viewers happy! I personally loved the piece and I know a lot of football fans did too... I got a double dose one of my favorite player(s)and got to see what was going on, on the red carpet!..I don't too much care for big boi but I know a lot of people love football and big boi and will be tunning in!

Not to mention that Big Boi and some of his artist have recorded tracks for Madden 2003 and 2004. You cannt tell some old fogeys nothing though.

Being a hip hop fan it was nice to see the NFL Network show off the BET awards. Maybe it was boring to you because you don't enjoy the genre of music. I liked it, and I was satisfied that they showed the awards in a decent light, although some of the artists didn't do that for themselves. (Flava Flav was before my time so I don't know what was up with his cornrows.)
It just seems like you aren't hip-hop fan by reading your posts. Thats fine but its apparent that the Network is just appealing to another segment of their viewing audience.
If you want to get really technical Andre 3000 from OutKast used to wear shoulder pads in his videos, so he does has something to do with football! So
and just for the record, i think lavar is a nerd. either that or the guys is nervous as hell in front of a camera.
Lavar did seem a bit stiff. I thought it was odd how he'd stare at the floor. I just agree with Ms. Rabbit (I love that name!!

) that he was just trying to answer his questions as best he could. When he was on the red carpet he was excited and flowing. Im glad that he didn't act a fool on the show like a lot of other players have.

didn't mean to ruffle any feathers. lavar just looks very uncomfortable on the camera. he looked a little uncomfortable on while you were out too. he did however look very much in his groove, when they were talking football. go figure. lavar should leave the brodcasting to the pros, and be a football player.
and the hip hop thing, no i'm not much into hip hop. i'm a fan of rap, not radio hip hop. i think rap music took a major turn south a few years back. i guess the lyrics were just to hardcore for most of the mainstream kiddies.
i'm glad everyone else liked the show. and i'll still be watching, even though there is no real football content this time of the year, i can sit through the BS and wait for my x's and o's fix.
and gambit. MTV sucks worse than BET.

and how do you get off calling me an old fogey? i'm 26

B.I.G., wu-tang(older stuff), redman, pac, dre and snoop of course, three six mafia, cypress hill, older cube.
i just think that bet has turned into mtv, and they both suck. i thought the league would have learned its lesson on how crappy mainstream is after the superbowl fiasco, but if they feel the need to be popular on total access thats fine. but there aren't too many people i know that actually think the halftime shows is any good anymore. i just think radio hip hop beats sound like a broken record, so do the lyrics on half the stuff. but hey, to each his own.

I thought LaVar was cool. He didn't look like a nerd or seem uncomfortable to me. I thought he was articulate and had funny jokes IMO.

i just thought he looked uptight. it seemed like he had to think about everything he said before he said it, until the started to talk football, then he did ok IMO.

Yup thats just why hip hop/ rap music is the number 1 music in the WORLD , and has been credited with saving the recording industry from enourmous profit slumps.

If this thread wants to caryy on about rap music, then let's move it to the lounge... otherwise... let's try stay on topic... which is lavar on Total Access.
I understand that the thread gradually progressed to this point, but let's move on or start a new thread in the Lounge about rap vs hip hop.
Please and thanks.

If your opinion was required, it would have been asked for. Stop questioning the mods at every turn, it's getting a little tiresome. I don't have the luxury of the time to deal with each offense accordingly... so if you can't STOP making work for me... I'll make it REAL easy for ya... because I don't moderate other boards and that's where you'll be.
These are the RULES of the board... if you don't like them... too bad... it ain't open for discussion. These things are discussed amongst the staff before they even make it to the public realm...
So keep pushing.
As stated REPEATEDLY... despite the fact that you look at this board as your own personal little play thing... there are hundreds of others to consider... and they have as much right to enjoy this board as you... if not more.
The next time you question a moderator's actions, expect a little e-mail and a problem logging in for a while. You want to dictate how a message board is run... it's pretty easy... start your own.
otherwise... we're fairly confident and secure in the manner we do things around here and if we needed your advice... we'd surely ask for it.

Gambit...this is not allowed:
Sometimes pictures work better for Gambit, they are easier to understand. No more "Flaming" dude...make your point and move on. If you got beef with someone (and they actually want to waste some time on you) then send them a PM or an invite to the Smack house.
I say give him a week off to think about it...but thats just my inebriated opinion

OAFSUP, maybe you need to read the thread, this thread was not about flaming or making a point, it was just a couple of people that started on one topic and moved to another.
There were no tempors flaring up on this thread or names being called , so you may want to put the bottle down and back away from the crack pipe....LOL

I find it ironic that everytime a thread gets "off topic" you are involved.
Maybe it is just me, or the PCP...deffinately not the beer.
As far as Lavar goes...people need to cut him some slack. What is he supposed to say on these stupid interviews...they are only there to satisfy the subscribers to NFL Network in the sloooow offseason.
Would you rather hear from Warren Sapp?
I am glad Lavar does these interviews and says all the right things...there are other guys out there that use the interviews to knock their own team or talk about how much money they deserve.
Have you heard Lavar talk about his contract "issue" lately? He knows what keeps a team together, and him not causing a distraction is proof in itself that Lavar has bought into Joe Gibbs & Co.
If you ask me, Lavar has "NFL Today cast" written all over him in 10 years.

That's a good point haven't heard of it in awhile and Lavar is all over the tube
and don't lose that picture
