Does anyone actually believe Samuels will take any kind of pay cut???!?!?!? LT is the HIGHEST paid position in the league, and we expect our guy to take a cut?
The Dolphins are swimming at WR, they need OLine help. The only way this deal happens is for like a 1st rounder AND Dockerty or a similar young OL. We can't afford to do that.
I can't believe that there is so many against this move. So many posts on what to do with our d-line. Get this bum, this bum, and June 1st cuts. Here we have a sure thing, a guy who is known and everyone wants to pass. He is the best out there hands down. We have a lot of everything, let's trade the extra's and get on with it. Although, I think Samuels would have to take a pay cut. Maybe another.
Chris would probably take a pay cut because if Brunell starts, then Jansen is the 'more important' so to speak, blindside tackle. Left tackle IS NOT the highest paying position. McNabb, Culpepper, and Bledsoe are all QB's and took $100 million deals. I think Favre too one, too.
And the Dolphins have COMPLETELY RENEVATED their o-line this offseason. They cut their 3 injured starting interior o-linemen. They signed all kinds of linemen and moved up in the draft to get Vernon Carey. I like what the Dolphins had done this offseason. They didn't being in the best o-linemen but they acknowledged their situation. About every other move they made involved offensive linemen. Check out their transaction log for this offseason.

#60 Chris Samuels: 6-time 6-time 6-time 6-time 6-time 6-time Pro Bowl left tackle!

Would you rather have Gardener or Ogunleye? If you HAD TO PICK ONE :0)
From what I've seen and heard, he's a nice guy. I think I heard he is related to a royal family from Africa. I would love to get him.
Let us all gather around and drink the ey-Aid of the Redskins.
this is silly. Samuels knows once his contract is up he can go anywhere and be a highly paid, blind-side, LT. But in Jake's world, he'll take a pay cut to stay here, where admittedly he's less important.
Won't happen.
