Oh, NC43...that's got to burn something fierce. I know what I'd be doing if Thrash showed up in #81.
Sorry, bud.

I think Danny did have something to do with it, as well. He must have been icthin' to get the #26 jerseys out to make some more cash. I mean, no one was gonna buy a #26 Ohalete jersey, right

You and I both, I said the same thing earlier.

I would definitely buy an Ifeanyi jersey.

I caught the tail end of Sportsnite on Comcast and Portis said he had to buy Iffy a new car( He didn't say what kind ) and let Iffy use his new house for some parties.

Not so "wow!" when you consider what Portis is pulling down for a salary, and what the number means to him.
I now consider Iffy a "good sport".

Shooot, I consider him a bright man. He realized the value of that jersey and preceded to pimp Clinton for every red cent it was worth to him. Im surprised he didn't sign over his 1st born after all of that. Wow, I hope #26 is that lucky even tho I dont believe in it.

It's not important what you and I think of it. What's important is, that this very real distraction has now gone the way of the dinosaurs.
I'm glad it's over, bro.

My favorite # story.

John Kruk on David Letterman.. a far cry from Portis' payment:

D: We introduced you as number 29, and I know there's a story, you used to be, what was it, 28?

J: Well, which year?

D: Well, you tell me how you got to be 29.

J: I had number 28, and we made a trade for Mitch Williams. I saw where Rickey Henderson gave a guy $25,000 for a number; well, I got two cases of beer. So Mitch got number 28…

D: Why did he want 29?

J: He wanted 28.

D: He wanted 28, I'm sorry.

J: Because his wife had a bunch of jewelry with number 28 on it.

D: Oh, that's beautiful stuff. The big 28 earrings, a lovely touch.

J: The best part about it is now is, he got divorced, he wears number 99, and the two cases of beer are gone.

D: Oh, that's too bad.

J: It's a sad story. [crowd applauds]
