As for Brunell, you may notice that while his yardage has gone down, his completion percentage and quarterback rating have gone up. He is in fact becoming more effective. Keep in mind that Brunell's passing attempts depended heavily on Fred Taylor's health.
No one here cares if Brunell's numbers go up. We only care if he helps the team win.
I don't understand why you think Todd Pinkston has a better quarterback throwing to him. Regardless, the fact remains that Gardner has been a 1000 yard reciever before, therefore people are thinking that Gibbs can maximize his potential.
Pinkston, on the other hand, has never broken 800 yards, so it is unclear why someone might think he could develop into a 1000 yard guy.
On a side note, Terrell Owens never played along side a reciever had more than 800 yeards since Jerry Rice left.
That being said, it wouldn't suprise me if Pinkston had a better year with Owens as opposed to Thrash. In fact, I'm willing to bet he becomes a 800-yard reciever again.
