The pick was the result of a collapse of protection that prevented him from planting on a throw to an open receiver.

Not really. He had time to plant and make the throw, he just didn't do it. Actually most of his picks come when his mechanics break down and he doesn't step into the throw. I'm not down on Kirk, but I do think he's a bit of a head case in high pressure situations.

Kirk is the best QB we've had in forever, but he still has yet to show up when it matters most.

I agree CLL - that's the thing - it's not just because of the last 2 horrendous home games, Cousins just doesn't seem to embrace the pressure like some of the better QBs do and have done for years
