He has? He sure didn't on Sunday v. the Ravens. 31 yards on 14 carries.

Think we might be seeing a bit more Rob Kelley this weekend.

Jones should be getting 25 to 30 carries a game. Kelly looked good as well. Even Thompson contributes. Our Oline has improved from the past two seasons. Basically we need to keep running the ball first and foremost. Dull ass leads the league in rushing. No reason why we can't be the leaders.

McVey needs to stop calling passes on 3rd and 2, late in the third quarter, with a 10 point lead, when we have had great success running the ball all game long.

You know this is next to impossible, right ?

This is 400 carries minimum. It's been done 5 times in history. Jim Brown never got to 25 carries per game.

1 Larry Johnson 416 in 2006
2 Jamal Anderson 410 in 1998
3 James Wilder 407 in 1984
4 Eric Dickerson 404 in 1986
5 Eddie George 403 in 2000

Absolutely no way Jones should be getting that many carries a game. Only AP averaged 20 carries a game last year. If Jones did that he'd likely lead the league.

I get your point but let's be a little realistic. Ideally, Jones should get 15 to 20 carries a game.

Larry Brown hit 24 carries per game in 1972... and old timers like me know what a work horse he was... Jones is not capable of 25 carries per game.

Well I should of been more clear. As a team we should be running it 25 to 30 times a game. Without the fumbles!

I still say stick to the run cut the turnovers. We managed to rush for more then 130 yards on 29 rushes against Detroit. Those stinking fumbles though.

Our team as of today averages 4.8 yards a carry. 22 rushes a game.

Red zone efficiency is another factor. The costly fumble near the goal line. Right idea bad execution. Either way I say fix the fumbling issue. Or start Rob Kelly.

My main point was we should be running the ball more a game. I'm sure you know that.

Jones seems to tire out a bit. Right now our Oline is close to tops in the league according to Nfl.com . We average 4.8 yards a carry on 22 rushes per game thru 7 games.
In comparison D****s averages 4.8 yards a carry with 30 rushes a game thru 6 games.

Red zone efficiency and play selection. I do recall many times this year while in the red zone we opted to pass. Failed to score and settled for a field goal when we could have ran it in. I know you know this. I am just elaborating my points.

Stick to run perfect it. Cut the turnovers. I am confident we have the the players to do so.Who can win us games doing so.
