SJ,
I'm with you I want to see Griffin on another Eastern Division team also. Twice a year our defense could have a sack fest to enjoy as Griffin renders another NFL OL useless because he doesn't what he is doing or conversesly he comes to town running his high school offense and the Skins chew that up. Under either scenario it would be fun watching Cousins run an NFL offense well and Griffin struggle in an NFL offense or get run down and pummeled so the RGIII fan boys get a reminder of how inept he has become. Alas, I don it going to happen since no one seems want him. Maybe he's fit for the CFL....

Sorry but there isn't a chance in hell Washington would trade RG3 to the Cowboys.
I don't understand how this is even a topic.
Now if you want to get real. I'll call it right now. RG3 goes to the Eagles next year if Kelly doesn't get fired.
It's a topic because someone is a concern troll. To validate your statement, it is already known the Eagles called Scot McCloughan about a trade for RGIII before the season started, right after Kirk was named the starter. Scot probably told Howie Roseman he'd be fired on the spot for trading RGIII to a division rival no matter how appealing the idea was to him. Because the $16M option is only guaranteed for injury there is virtually no question RGIII will be an unrestricted free agent as of March 1st. At that time I'd expect RGIII to have several suitors and to go where he is promised the starting job or the best chance to win the starting job.
One interesting scenario that could throw a monkey wrench into the works is if Houston has any interest in RGIII, although nothing I've seen yet says they do.

So you actually want Griffin to be traded to an NFC East team just so he could beat the Skins twice a year? If it wasn't anymore obvious that you are a Griffin fan and not a Redskins fan, this just confirmed it.

I'm a Redskins fan - I always want the Redskins to win each and every game - is that clear to you?
I think, despite all the evidence, Griffin can play QB better - no matter where he goes, I will be hoping that he can play well - I also really like Tom Brady and I love how he plays QB - when we play the Patriots I don't want the Patriots to win even though I like Tom Brady as a QB
don't try and make out like I'm anti Redskins just because I want Griffin to prove he can play QB
I want Cousins to do great as our QB but I do not think he'll be here next season because he's just not good enough - just my opinion
to clarify, for those of you that need a little help & are a little slow

... I always want the Redskins to win each & every game

If (when) RG3 is outta here, he can kiss my *bleep*.. I want him to fail, the same way I want all former Skins to fail and that's because if they aren't playing FOR us, they are playing AGAINST us. I care zero.. but I respect you wanting others to succeed, there's nothing wrong with that.

This is like arguing Tim Tebow is an NFL quarterback because he won a few games. Ryan Leaf won a few games, too. Is he an NFL quarterback? Jamarcus Russell won a few games. Is he an NFL quarterback?
I think you're grasping at straws. Let it go. Listen to the "Frozen" theme song a few times or something.

Um...yes I would say that a guy in street clothes is incapable of helping his team win games.

There are a couple scenarios that could possibly occur.
1. Kirk may very well finish off this season and lead us to the playoffs.
2. Kirk may get hurt and Bob comes in and lights it up.
With Bobs 16M owed to him its difficult for any team to trade for him. Other wise I know another team would have traded for him already.
The Cowboys are already working against the salary cap. They just signed Dez Bryant for a huge contract.
Many reasons the Cowboys did not acquire Griffin 16M owed to him next year. Snyder probably would not trade him to a division rival either.
I also think Chip Kelly was preparing for this as well. Kelly could see the writing on the wall. Probably would be a perfect match.

I'm wondering how the guy in street clothes come in when Kirk gets hurt and "lights it up". That will be something cool to see.

That's not a plausible scenario since Colt is the #2 quarterback. Both Kirk and Colt would have to be injured for RGIII to even be a consideration. Secondly, the $16M is NOT guaranteed EXCEPT for injury so why would the team play RGIII and give him the chance to injure himself and guarantee the $16M? That money does not count against the cap until the season begins and it is pro-rated. It cost the team $1M per game week to keep him on the roster. I'm not saying they will but the entire $16M doesn't count against the cap (barring the aforementioned injury) unless he is on the roster for the entire season.

And by "possibly" do you mean "not at all"? And that is for both scenarios.
And do you think RGIII is a "perfect match" for Kelly's offense? Honestly? I am curious as to why? Kelly's #1 requirement of the QB is to make lightning fast reads.

If that's the case why would the team even pick up the option....also it's only if he is injured at the begining of the new NFL year.

I don't think the team will pick up the option. I think RGIII is gone March 1st, making the option discussion moot. But, yes, you are correct, he would have to be on IR as of week one for the injury guarantee to kick in.

No, my point is why would the Skins pick up the option this year and then just deactivate him all season so he doesn't get hurt? He could have still played and been on the roster if they didn't pick up the option NO? IMO it would have made more sense to not pick it up and let him play "IF" you thought he was still an option at QB??

No, I agree with you, and I think, in hindsight that if Scot McCloughan had it to do all over again he'd have not been so quick on the draw with the "picking up the option" rhetoric. I think the decision at the time was predicated on the fact that they still had RGIII as their opening day starter at the time. The decision to go with Kirk happened ex post facto and now they would look ridiculous saying they've decided to retract the option two weeks into the season even though it's pretty well etched in stone that is exactly what is going to happen.

So, coaches don't help their teams win games? Romo can't give any help to Weeden? (just to give an example of a QB in street clothes helping his team win games.)
