The Washington Redskins suffer from the same ailment they've suffered from since JKC died- they're owned by one Daniel Snyder. As much as it pains me, the team will NEVER flourish under that man's ownership. NEVER!

Griffin was done the day he was injured in December 2012. He was actually on his way to being done before that. Once the trick was discovered, and his insufficient physicality compromised, it was inevitably going to be over. He was a very good COLLEGE quarterback that had a gimmick offense for a few months in the NFL. Time will prove what I am saying to be fact. I will bet my life on it. In retrospect, he never truly deserved the ROY honor that he received. Luck and Wilson are both far better players. Luck will be in the HOF if he stays healthy, I have no doubt. WIlson already has a SB ring and 2 SB appearances. Griffin sold a lot of #10 jerseys and gave false hope for a few months in 2012. I hope it was worth what they paid, and what they continue to spend (in rhetoric, failed token starter status, and lack of concentration on the better players you actually have).

RG3 will never succeed in the NFL.

then please explain why the HC and the others here continue to help him and try and make him a capable NFL QB. Why would these guys, who know a whole lot more than you even think you know, continue to support this kid?

Many here are convinced that Griffin cannot be an effective NFL QB - if that is true, then why is it that he continues to be a part of this offense?

Griffin does not decide who plays QB - it's not Griffin's fault that he's not a capable NFL QB - who makes these decisions?

there are many players that are being evaluated here and how they fit into helping repair the damage here but there are 3 QBs that have been a part of the roster here for some time - who is it that sees what many here cannot see?

It seems to be obvious to everyone but you SJ, Dan Snyder owns the team and still wants Griffin to play. Snyder is why Griffin was drafted, not Shanahan, and Snyder is why Grffin has a spot on the roster.

I'm not convinced there is a wealth of support for him, beyond the culprit I mentioned at the beginning. If the guy paying your salary says "play him and make him better", and you like getting paid, then you do what you can. I really don't feel the need to explain "why" other people indulge in wastes of time. The result on the field supports my assertion and will continue to support it. You should be the one to explain why they keep trying to make a duck into an eagle. I've said this last year and the year before... RG3 was a great college QB that had a gimmick offense that worked until he finally got hurt (which was inevitable because his physicality will never last in the NFL) and the defenses figured it out. Then he got REALLY injured and lost whatever gimmick he had. You, and others, can keep waiting and waiting for this miraculous butterfly to emerge from the caterpillar, but it ain't ever happening. I know it without the slightest doubt.

Griffin will FINALLY, someday, be released. the owner, unfortunately, will not.

Looking at this years QB options the name Three Stooges immediately sprang to my mind. #-o

1. Griff is fragile like a glass doll
2. Skins system does not bode well for his skill set (he may thrive with Chip)
3. I feel bad for the kid

More drama on the horizon:

Griffin doubt growing within the Redskins?
According to ESPN's Jason Reid, "people in the building know" the Redskins have "no chance" if they stick with Robert Griffin III at quarterback.
All it took was four bad series for Griffin's shaky standing as the Redskins' starter to again become unmoored. Griffin was nightmarishly bad before getting concussed against the Lions on Thursday, but seemed to have little chance behind a leaky offensive line. Of course, RGIII's issues with getting rid of the ball may have encouraged Detroit to bring the house. To the naked eye, Colt McCoy and Kirk Cousins have both appeared far better than RGIII this summer, but against second- and third-string defenses.

Reality is the franchise needs a starting QB - the hope was that Griffin could become that, because it is very obvious to most of us that Cousins and McCoy are not going to ever be good NFL starting QBs - they are both OK, not good

Having Griffin be a good NFL QB was a bit of a bonus - this franchise was not winning the division or making the playoffs this season, no matter how well the QB played - the earliest that we can be a playoff contender is possibly 2016 but without a good NFL QB, more likely 2017

so now we get to see if these 2 can manage things here and hopefully we do not put Griffin in a situation where he gets injured

Jay Gruden has not helped himself here with the way that this issue has been handled - he should have seen what was happening

How is Griff's vision? Peripheral vision? Does he need contacts of glasses? Does he not see the free blitzers? A little side-step, forward- step could avoid some/many of his sacks.

Everybody knows I'm a RGIII guy... drafted him #1 in FF the last two years. That being said Shanny did good grabbing Cousins in the same draft, he's the better QB

I think Colt gives us the best chance to win week 1 and that Kirk gives us the most wins over 16 games.
