It really irked me that Norv and Cooke let him go (his last year was as an Eagle) and replaced him with a poor man's Monk - Henry Ellard. Ellard played very well but ...

:puke:

Monk turned down $600 K from us then we signed Ellard for $900 K. :hmm:

I guess Ellard knew the offense and Monk was a slot guy by then which Norv did not really use.

Green. For me, this isn't even close.
I know he got a pretty good zip on the ball. He has a quick release. . . once I seen a coupla' throws, I was just like 'Yeah, he's that dude.'"

Green was either all-pro or all-pro worthy for the better part of 20 years at corner. He was an excellent return man - as good as any, really.

Just wanted to say that had Sean Taylor finished out his career. Wed be talking about possibly the greatest Saftey ever.
In my opinion Sean was more physically gifted and talented then both Polamalu and Reed. He also had the instincts that both reed and Polamalu had.

I can't conceive any argument against that. This was one big, bad, fast, smart, talented and intimidating football player, who OWNED the 40 yard circle of field that he was the center of.

The crime that took him also robbed ALL fans of the game of someone very special.
