I don't understand how so many people can say there's no proof that Brady did anything wrong (that's not being said here, but there are some sports program hosts, and people who call into these shows who have said this). I can understand Pats fans wanting the sweep this whole thing under the rug, but to say there's no proof is idiotic. There is a lot of circumstantial evidence and none of it favors Brady. The bottom line is that SOMEONE ordered the deflation of those balls...now unless you believe the equipment person made that decision on his own, then who else would've ordered it other than Brady? I think it's clear that he cheated and the 4 game suspension should stand...

I understand that Goodell and the NFL are V mad about Brady destroying evidence but why don't they also acknowledge that they (the NFL) were given access to all the phones and people that were on the call list of Brady's phone - if there were texts by Brady they could have gotten copies of them from those phones

But this is not a criminal investigation. It is "breaking the policy" investigation.

But I'm sure someone can get that "destroyed" info...........if they really wanted to.

The NFL was given the names and cell #s that Brady's cell was in touch with during the time in question - NONE of that was found to be incriminating - the issue seems to be that they don't care what was on the cell phone that was destroyed, it was the intent By Brady to cover up something ... even though there was nothing to cover up as the transcripts from the other cells revealed

I'm not saying that Brady or the Pats are blameless here, only that the NFL is making it into a much bigger deal than it is

Won't happen I'm afraid, see the NFL is currently where baseball used to be? still in denial that their
"star" athletes would use dishonest means in order to win games rather than earning wins through

Absurd over-reaction by league from the get-go. $25,000 fine and brand new balls from league for the Pats for every game at some point during regular season last year was all this desreved - and/or an apology from the league for never taking the issue seriously - until now bwa ha ha.

I'll give you everything on Brady and still give the NFL over 90% of the blame for this fiasco.

It's the devil may care attitude they are taking with this!! the league is supposed to be about fair play..
that's the message they want sent. But instead what they send is? we are corrupt and we overlook
corruption by putting a band aid on whatever we find! personally I think the NFL needs to adopt the
policy of the NCAA

yearly banning of teams from competition play, including any and all personnel involved and
criminal charges if there can be any brought up immediately..then perhaps we can get back
to normal. but because we know this will never happen. it's pointless to bring it up

all points made by the judge on this are correct... The PROBLEM, is, this was a process agreed upon BY THE NFLPA!!!! It's in the contract THEY agreed to, and THEY signed.

In effect, this judge has ruled that the NFLPA is not bound by the language they not only agreed to, but helped to draft...

The judge, in making this decision, has basically said that labor contracts have no value. This will be overturned, I think... very likely, right in the midst do a playoff run. WOW...

The problem?? is we have now seen the last of any credibility..the second issue is?? because this ruling has
come down the way it did. This now gives New England the right to cheat and face no consequences for their
action...so now I am calling for the 4 game suspension of Greg Hardy to be lifted. and for further banishment
of suspensions against players due to the incompetence of our judicial system that like our very own government
bails out the rule breakers whenever they do anything wrong

No... if anything, we need to see the Hardy suspension extended another 12 weeks... due... you know... to the Cowboys factor...

yet the NCAA suspends and even disallows teams to compete, for several years...and nobody is there
to bail them out

look at Penn State, scandal involving children a football program that knew and did nothing about it
minus Paterno - the handed down ruling everyone got busted!! people lost jobs, the team wasn't allowed
to compete for any type of bowl or championship game

These ***holes got away with it and I say it's unfair it is total BS and everyone knows it, sorry if this is
turning into a rant. but I believe in what is fair is fair, these idiots deserve no special treatment just b/c
they won a few titles

you cheat you face the consequences everyone and so now as a fan I am calling for the firing of Goodell
as commissioner he is unfit to rule the missfits of the NFL

The Colts "got away with it" completely. 3 of the 4 balls of theirs that were tested by the refs were underinflated. Didn't the Patriots get fined?
