I'd be thrilled to be wrong... But Joe Jacobys just don't grow on the waver wire.

Yeah I got your point and I don't mean to sound overly excited about a UFA either. If he actually makes the 53 man roster, I'll buy you a case of beer. Young guy with some potential though, I was glad to see him picked up by the Skins.

Why buy him the case? He poopooed the pickup. I started the thread. You should buy me the case. -drinking

Hey, when was the last time we had a really good GM? Remember how the HOGS were built. There could be a diamond there. Right now I find it hard to believe we can't upgrade.

My thoughts arenlike this- while we most likely didnt just find 3 waiver wire probowlers... it doesnt take much to be better then who we have. Off the bat arent these guys all bigger then most the bums who star here? We dont need to go to best oline in the league to be drastically better then horrible. I think anyone of these guys, if driven enough, has a shot at making the team.
Bigger is already an advantage on the competition

If Griffin does not improve his ability to stay in the pocket and see what is happening defensively (recognizing who is open) it will not matter how much better the O line is - he will not be here in 2017 when the O line is starting to gel

An improved O line benefits the whole offense, not just the play of the QB - if Griffin does not show incredible progress from where he was and Cousins does not learn to stop turning the ball over - improved O line play really means little to them being the starting QB here

I think Griffin. Most of Cousin's picks were not the result of pressure... There was another issue of not seeing the defensive play developing... That's not to say it wouldn't help him.

Griffin, on the other hand, gains lots with the addition of two or three seconds of unharrased time in the pocket, most notably the opportunity tovalidat what he perceives the defense doing. Currently he must think his way through his reads... With more time, he gets to complete this process... And, with each read, it becomes more "automatic", in the same way you and I learned to ride a bike, or drive a car, or troubleshoot a balky software application.

literally wrote my exact thoughts on the matter before I even read the question to think them! Ive been "away".. rg3 hate gets tiresom.. even SJ has converted to the dark side; while coach has named him starter over Kirk Grossman... hmmmm

careful - I'm a Redskins fan - I'd prefer to see Griffin under center but he needs to really step it up ...

he can, but he's got a lot to overcome .. what a great story that would be though :D

I'm not expecting any Hall of Famers either. The original Hogs had a few no names that came out of no where. Grimm was really Dline but converted. JJ, well you saw what happened. Starke was mediocre but good enough when he wasn't getting flagged. Bostic was another FA I believe. Someone correct me if I am wrong. Got his autograph when I was a young teen. He had great technique. These guys we picked up are more than likely just bodies. That doesn't mean it is impossible to find a gem this way though.

^^ if we add Orlando Franklin from Denver via free agency then a few of these other cats replace the undersized bums on the right side we could be immensely better then we have been.. fingers crossed!
