^^ I am not sure what the exact 'deal' was but I do remember 'seeing' that our first down yardage be it after a run, or, where we ranked with 2nd down, was unbelievable when you also saw where we were ranked on 3rd down efficiency ...

and this was before last week's game

I just wish it wasn't a night game. Skins have played poorly mostly on night games in recent night games.

Not only is it a primetime game, it's also a divisional game...the Skins will get blown out...

They'll lose by at least 2 TDs...

I agree that is very likely. Though I'm not sure I'd call a 2 TD win a blowout, but that's just semantics. I don't really see us winning this game, and that is already making me mad.

No doubt about it, man. Totally agree. Too many 1 yd or no gain runs on first down that end up putting them in third and long.
Ironically, during their last game they had a stat up that showed the Redskins are ( i think ) #1 in the league on yards gained per first down yet 31st on 3rd down. It was such an odd stat.
Weird! Is that true? So are we crapping the bed on second downs or something???
It was definitely a stat they showed during the game and the announcers were perplexed by it as well. I found this, don't know much about this site but it has us 2nd.

Take a second to be optimistic even though it may not be likely. Dallas is certainly better than NY comparing nighttime games. Redskins beat Dallas and Phi lose to Arizona. Redskins take care of Minnesota the following week. All of the sudden it's a bye week and Robert is back. Hello momentum! Hello a 6 pack! Lmao

While i love optimism and anything is possible, we've beaten Chad Henne and Charlie Whitehurst this year. I'm a little short on optimism at the moment, especially against talented QB's. I don't think Romo's what many think he is but he's far better than the two QB's we've beaten. Our defensive injuries are pretty big, especially Halls where we don't have much depth. Biggers in the slot is a winning matchup for just about any offense. The only hope we have Monday night is to outscore them, which actually may be possible so who knows. Here's to hoping we win, I can't stand the f'ing Cowboys.

Griffin opened with a quote from Winston Churchill ... “A quote that I stumbled upon during this process of being injured and being out was by Winston Churchill, and it says, ‘Courage is what it takes to stand up and do something. Courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.’ So, during this time, I’ve been listening, learning, growing as a player in this offense.

“It’s our job to help this team win and I’ve been there for Kirk and Colt as much as I possibly can, and being there for this team to make sure they’re as ready as possible during this process, and it sucks that I can’t get out there and play with them and help them get wins. But I’ve been listening to the doctors, listening to the trainers, listening to the coaches and we’re not going to rush my ankle. It’s a blessing I wasn’t hurt as bad as it could have been. It’s been a blessing and I’ve been recovering right on time. So, that’s good. But at the same time, we don’t want to rush that.

“And it’s Dallas week. We all want to beat Dallas. We know what this game means for our season. So that’s what I’ve been trying to do this week, in making sure I’m ready to go, making sure this team is ready to go, and making sure whoever plays quarterback is ready to go. That’s all I’ve got to say. Beat Dallas.”

THATS MY QB!!!

BEAT DALLAS!!!!!

Yeah I was trying to be optimistic and humerous at the same time. A page earlier I wrote that its awful that we are facing them at night. Not a good night team in recent games, the Giants game was pathetic and I wish I chose another game to go to lol. The Cowboys are much better than the Cowboys. BUT ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!

I'm hoping not.......but you may be right.

On another note, what up with Morris? He's not so good this year.

to be successful on offense you need to be able to run the ball - especially when the defense knows you're going to run it

If we can get Morris to be effective against the pukes we do 2 things we keep their offense off the field and we score more

ALSO

I'm hoping we are effective on 3rd down this Monday - BOTH on offense and defense

The stat is skewed due to a few explosion plays on first down. Take them out and we essentially suck on first down.

^^ thanks for that - I knew there was an explanation - there's no way this offense is going to be really good with this O line

I'm not getting my hopes up for this game, but I don't think we're going to get murdered like all of the talking heads seem to think.

I have no expectations for this game whatsoever. I just hope the effort is there, maybe some creativity from the coaching staff, and they make a game of it.

Every week somebody wins who wasn't expected to win. It would be nice if we could be that team this week.

Especially this season - every week a team that is perceived to be 'better' loses

this is setting up for a classic Romo letdown - the pukes are on a 5 game win streak and everybody's favorite

Tony Romo just loves to blow opportunities like this
