Romo already has a world class excuse... he's Tony Romo. But, you say he's hoarding excuses???? What a jerk!Deadskins wrote:Romo was just following in a long line of Dallas divas who fake an injury and then are right back out there or never even come out at all. They do it so that if they win, they look gritty and tough, and the announcers swoon over them. And, if they lose, then there is that ready-made excuse.

Me, IMHO I would forced his hand and made Romo run for it. I truly believe someone could have come up and made the stop once he crossed the line of scrimmage. Of course that's all water under the bridge now and we'll never know.
Maybe we shouldn't be placing the blame on Riley but should be placing the blame on the D coordinator's scheme and his plan which places the players between a rock and a hard place. Same thing happened earlier on a 4th down conversion to Cole Beasley where he was able to find the open space in the zone in front of D Hall, sit down, and let Romo find him after, once again, buying time getting away from our feeble pass rush.
On the final TD play I just think you have to man up and go all out covering anything that moves straight up. If you get beat, you get beat, but at least, that way, you gave it everythng you had instead of looking like you got caught flat-footed in no man's land.
