IMO a pretty good article on how a Hall of Fame coach handles adversity even if he shoots himself in the foot.

this article loses so much credibility by insinuating there's a "bitter battle royal seemingly taking place among owner Daniel Snyder, coach Mike Shanahan, his son and offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan and quarterback Robert “SuperBob” Griffin III … "

that is just trying to make something seem a lot worse than it really is - maybe the rest of the article has a lot of false thoughts also
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Nah, I think your missing the point. The point is how a really good coach doesn't let these things take off to begin with.

He made mistakes, plenty of them — trading for aging quarterback Mark Brunell when he was on the brink of being cut by the Jacksonville Jaguars, the signing of such free agent flops as Adam Archuleta. It’s a long list of personnel blunders, some of which helped dig the hole the Redskins found themselves in when Shanahan arrived in 2010.

But here’s what you didn’t see from Gibbs — you never saw the sort of shameful shenanigans that have taken place at Redskins Park. You never saw Gibbs plant stories in the media to undercut a player or the owner. You never heard anything from Gibbs about a loss except to take responsibility for that loss, never heard him hang a player out to dry.

Im not a big Shanahan guy, BUT I fear another Zorn/Spurrier hire....I mean who really wants to coach for this ______ of an owner? I have 2 in mind but they are too smart to fall for $nyder's money....Bevell or Roman. NOT everything is Shanys fault guys. I dont have a problem giving picks to get a special player. They would have won a SB had RG3 not gotten hurt. Pass protection was worst at RT, otherwise the unit did OK...Gotta give defenses some credit...they're pros also. They got screwed with cap penalties IMO...thus not being able to get talent knowing we didnt have picks. RG3 is starting to become a DIVA...he snowed everyone with his "yes sir, no sir" and smile. He needed to be checked by the PROPER pecking order and that hes not above "coach". Totally agree with shutting him down for reasons said...they used 1/2 of the offense as he couldnt practice 3, 5, 7 steps and delivering passes on time/rhythm, couldnt run option at all. They need a stud WR opposite Garcon, cant wait on Hankerson, cut Moss and develope Robinson...Hopefully Reed comes back and avoids the concussion, he could be a top TE. Need a NT, Coefield played well but we will either spend on Raji or hopefully get in position to get Louis Nix III from ND. (6'2" 340).

OK - you're right - we have a guy that could learn a thing or two … BIG DEAL

there are a whole bunch of coaches that could have done better - BIG DEAL

Mike is our HC and he's here - all these other 'better' coaches are not here & cannot do anything to help this franchise - NOTHING

we are better off with this big time loser coach BECAUSE he's here doing it and all the other 'good' coaches are NOT

get over it … :D

I LOVE Joe Gibbs but the future of this franchise is not in Joe Gibbs hands - Mike is in charge here …

we are getting better because of this coach that everyone wants to get rid of

GET OVER IT
