If you are surprised that means you probably have no clue what a major knee injury can do to a person let alone a football player. RG3 looks relatively good considering he just had reconstructive Knee surgery.

This is why people have lost patience. If he still needs time to heal, he shouldn't be playing. And if he insists he's 100%, the play on the field has said otherwise.

I agree, but I really don't accept fans putting all the blame on RGIII for possibly returning to the field too quickly. The guy is an athlete and a competitor, so it should be no surprise that he did everything possible to get back ASAP.

And PLEASE go take a look at some of the posts on this message board from August. Nearly every person on here was adamant that if RGIII said he was ready then damnit he should be on the field. The couple of people who even suggested that maybe the team should hold RGIII out until after the BYE week were either crucified or lectured on the miracles of modern stem cell therapy. lol.

Weirdly, I was one of those people who thought it might be a good idea to give him more time to recover. But to be honest, I think he has played better than I would have expected coming of that injury, and I'm kind of glad he has been out there. I don't think he was ever going to just flip a switch and be back to where he was. He's going to have to work through it.

I know this wasn't targeted at me, but consistently good teams generally all have the same traits. They have franchise QBs who stay healthy, are committed to building via the draft (and draft succesfully), have quality ownership, and consistency at the coaching position.

While coaching consistency has something to do with the fact they're winning, the others aren't. The Pats, Indy, GB, Steelers, and Eagles were the top teams of the 2000s and they all had these things. You could say the same for BAL, especially when it came to its commitment to the draft.

What is interesting is that as soon as the Eagles started to do the things Snyder did in the 2000s, they're team when to crap.
RIP Sean Taylor. You will be missed.

you can't just add players or coaches and think that things will be better because they are here rather than where they were - that's basically what Snyder and Cerrato tried

If Bill Cowher or Gruden had come here and Snyder and Cerrato had stayed, things would still be screwed up ...
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

We have a lot of the same players and coaches that we had last year - actually IMHO, if anything we 'improved' over the team we had at the end of last season ...

so - why are we not seeing better play from this team this season

btw - I do not think there is anything physically wrong with RG3 and IMO the knee has not been an issue - his head and the game planning have affected his play

I'm looking for a lot more from these guys we have -I'll enjoy the free agents when they get here and IF they turn out to be good acquisitions - I'd prefer more draft picks

Yeah I definitely think its a bad idea to switch the Shannys. Look at how they managed the cap and the lack of draft picks. A few months ago everyone was talking about how genius the FO is. They just need a few more years to acquire players without the restrictions they've had.

All though we lost because of turnovers and bad special teams. The team showed improvements on defense and moving the football on offense.

So I saw progress but we were all frustrated by the outcome. But no one can truly say we were beaten up and dominated in that game.

So in years past I knew our team was outmatched and outplayed most of the time. This year is not the case. We have talent and our team has shown effort and adjustments.

So I think our team will hit its stride in the next game. I feel RG3 is doing extra work right now to get back to form and win now.

Danny smith surely will be missed. There were a lot of people calling for his head. I think he did the best anyone could with the hand he was dealt year after year. Lo Alexander is another reason for the poor start. People are having trouble following the ST coach as far as believing in the system.

I believe we are experiencing the growing pains you should expect with a young QB who was going to be a bit of a project in a traditional offense.

A major problem for the offense is the oline. Although sufficient; they are not good enough in the pass game. Some of these guys should be our back ups.

I think we are still headed in the right direction. They are trying to fix RG3 deficiencies in the pocket and reading defenses IMO.

That makes us better but for the future only. I think Robert can run just like last year. He took a lot of hits. They are weaning him off the run.
