I've not been sold on him, just because of the difference in raw stats.

SI: 6-3 / 194 / 40 Time: 4.55
CBS: 6-1 / 205 / 4.35

Most reviewers said he was excellent apart from speed, so I'll defer to that - if he IS quick, then good pick. If he's as slow as SI think, then he could struggle like the rest of our DBs against the long balls.

And NFL.com has his speed at 4.44.

There's a tidbit in there about some teams projected him at Safety. Has some good stats too.

He had 13 interceptions in 2011. ONE YEAR. this guy is a play maker. Big corner. Great pick. If you look at my posts, I have him as one of my hopefuls.

The Hogster wrote:Good breakdown. Only thing I would change is that I would highlight Tyrann Mathieu & David Amerson. If we can land one of them. And, Swearinger, I'd kick my feet up and hope for Kenjon Barner en route to another NFC East title.

Not to toot my own horn. But, I was thinking along the same lines as our FO apparently. If Amerson came out last year, he'd have been a Top 15 pick. This dude is a monster. Very happy with this pick.

Here's a pretty good highlight vid of him:

Seems that the announcer are. Everything they said about him was bad. They even trashed his 13 interceptions.

I don't know much about him. But, NFL analysis on him is he is tall and physical might be moved to FS. He clearly has an ability get interceptions; hopefully he plays safety.

They were both on the board. I trust the scouting department in going with Amerson over Swearinger. I am a Swearinger fan as well. But, Amerson is a stud.

Blidi Wreh-Wilson would be a good pick-up. I'd like to grab Ray Ray Armstrong with our 6th. Some say e'll be available UFA, but I don't want to risk it.

He spent last season trying toooooooo hard to match the prior season. All this kid needs is a bit of eye discipline... and he'll have the right position coach for that... This will be a great pick up...

Word to the wise, pay no attention to anything an ESPn analyst says. They still the cowboys are worth parking their own personal correspondent outside team hq for the duration of the season.
I know he got a pretty good zip on the ball. He has a quick release. . . once I seen a coupla' throws, I was just like 'Yeah, he's that dude.'"
