Who?? Lmao, maybe if Fitz or Peterson came in that package, smh! Cousins is worth his weight in gold to this team, especially with how RGiiis season ended.

Exactly. I wouldn't trade him for anything less than a better version of Kirk Cousins. We need a SOLID backup QB for RG3 and I figured by now, after all that's happened, we'd be on the same page with this. Guess people forget history.

IMO opinion, Cousins is the best backup QB in the league. With a QB who was injured twice in his rookie season and missed a few weeks, its obvious that these little "season shortening" injuries are going to continue to be an issue. Hopefully, with RG3 getting smarter and the team getting better, it will only be a week here and there that he's out. I'd be surprised if he's present all 16 weeks this year, but I am optimistic that if he isn't, it will be minor injury set backs. Hopefully I'm wrong and he'll never get hurt again :)

Fact is, we have tangible proof that other teams are trying to knock him out of a game because of the treat he is towards their victory. Remember, football is these guy's job; a threat to victory is a threat to their financial livelihood; a threat to their employment.

How do you handle a threat? You neutralize it. Rush it, sack it, and if it runs, you hit it so hard that it thinks twice about running again; if it can run at all afterwards.

People have seen RG3 "bleed" this year. They're going to hitting him hard and targeting him. Don't believe me? Just watch the Seahawks game & the late hits.

Boxers check for scars on the eyes and work that eye...you don't want to kill the guy but you target his weakness because you HAVE to win. Are we really so naive to believe that football players are really nice guys who just want to have fun?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not all gloom and doom here. I believe RG3 is getting the message about this and so is the coaching staff. However, sooner or later there is going to be a problem. This is the way its always been.

Long point short, Cousins is currently irreplaceable. I don't give two sh!ts what our secondary needs are; you don't trade an invaluable QB for a SS or CB (unless someone is going to take Rexy).

My vote: If we aren't getting a better QB than Counsins, PLUS more, NO DEAL!

If this was a few years ago, the only team that would be dumb enough to make that trade would be the Redskins... Last I checked, you can't go back in time to make trades with yourself.

BAHAHAHA!! Exactly!

Why would a team trade to downgrade their position. That would mean we would have to give up additional compensation to make the trade value equal. Doesn't make sense.

Clearly - which is why we're (all) saying it won't happen.

I think Rex could quite possibly win if he had to step in now tho.

S'why I'd pull the trigger if it was the RIGHT deal.

I think we could get an offer that could blow us away. If your a head coach that's in need of a QB and you list your options through the draft and free agency, (Alex Smith included) is there really a better option than Cousins? I think the real question is does our coaching staff accept it.

With the amount of ????s with RGIII coming off of ACL/MCL surgery, I don't consider KC to be "expendable". He is as important as anyone on this team right now.

In order for KC to be traded, we need to make sure that RGIII is 100% AND that he will no longer risk his body on his runs. This can only be PROVEN during a regular season game. As such, KC shouldn't even be considered as trade bait until next season (because no team will trade for a QB mid-year seeing how much they have to know and learn playbook wise before being able to take a snap).

We don't need to keep Kirk Cousins because of any doubts about RG3 - we need to keep Kirk Cousins to be the #2 QB behind RG3

We have 3 QBs and the best guy coming off the bench is Kirk Cousins

WHY on earth would we let him go right now ... NOT happening

now, if someone wants to be really stupid - we'd have to consider doing that but I highly doubt that we're letting Kirk go in the next month or so ...

what if RG3's plane were to fall out of the sky on the way back from Florida ...

I mean, ANYTHING is possible ....

Mara might end up getting RG3 from his good buddy, Godahell - who knows

Another interesting question:

What if we traded RG3?

For the compensation + a bit more we gave to STL?

Given the injury + the unknowns in RG3's future....

What if someone was willing to give the farm, & letting us rely on Kirk as the starter going forward.

& when I say the farm I mean the entire effing farm.

& please don't look as my posts as some sort of stupidity.. I'm an avid fan & love the ish outta RGthrizzle.

I'm just an inquiring mind who's interested in knowing our great fans standpoint on the subject.

Anything is possible realistically.

I <3 all of u, cuz ur Skins fans just like me.... I just want the best for our team beyond imagination.

That's exactly right. It doesn't make sense just as much as trading someone as valuable to the team as Cousins just yet. Why "downgrade" your backup QB who is going to have to step for RG3 again sooner or later?

A little late but, suppose KC had offered Bowe (WR) and Flowers (CB) for the Captain?

And it now appears that Matt Cassell is available as a back-up QB. But, who would you rather have as our back-up? Of course along with the return you proposed for the Captain makes that scenario look even better.

For the first time ever, I'd actually be willing to bite at that one IF we had Matt Cassell on the roster first.
