True. I'm here to remind us who the 49ers are. And, what they've done to our Lombardi collection. And perhaps most importantly. They sent us Vinny Cerrato.

Lets go RAVENS! Rep the DMV well.

 @ Vinny

But Vinny is a Raven guy now.. another reason I won't root for those jerks.

And Bmore could never ever ever ever ever rep DMV cuz DMV was named for the DC area parts of MD and VA.. jus fyi.

The 9ers are the better team. I'm no fan, in fact, I detest them... just being real. We already know that the Ravens d can't answer the read option... and the Ravens o won't be able to beat the 9er's d.

In addition to my long standing NFC hate for the 9ers, I hate seeing them run our offense with a knock off version of RGIII. I seriously don't get why folks want them to win!!

Do you really want another fanbase with idiot fans popping up all over the place talking about One for the Thumb?? When that team kept us from getting 5 SB titles under Gibbs???

We would have won the Superbowl each year under Gibbs that the 9ers beat us. I'm repping the Ravens.

I hate the 49ers too - for all the reasons you cite and then some. I just hate the Ravens more.

Kinda wondering who people pulled for when the Giants played the Pats either time.

I was kind of glad the G-strings kept the Patsies from a perfect season, but I haven't rooted for them either time.

Me too. I pulled for the Ginas both times but it was really about wanting the Pats to lose more than wanting the Ginas to lose.

I NEVER want the giants to win ... EVER

I don't like the cowboys but I'd ALWAYS want the pukes to beat the giants ... ALWAYS

I don't hate the giants but I cannot stand ANY of the major sports teams from NY ... the jets are NOT a major sports franchise

in order of despite:

1 ny yankees
2 ny giants
3 ny rangers
4 ny knicks

Ravens or 49ers - no big deal either way

might be nice to see Ray Lewis go out with a win even if he did get away with 'murder'

Starting this past season, I will always hope DAL and PHI beat the Giants. Screw you Mara.

If I didn't live in the Baltimore area I might root for them to win. That being said I do and I hope the San Fran stomps them.

I was born in DC, grew up Frederick and Hagerstown. Was 9 when the Colts left. Die hard Skins fan. Have lived in Baltimore - die hard Orioles fan. Could care less about the Nationals, like the Wizards, don't care about hockey. All this is to say I will be rooting hard for the Ravens because:

- their success has nothing to do with the Redskins, they are in the AFC
- I like Ray Lewis and his act
- I like many people who are Ravens fans and want them to be happy
- I do not want Kap to win a Super Bowl, or any "running" QB before RGIII because the media has an attention span of 5 seconds and I don't want to hear 8 months of Kap being the greatest thing since sliced bread.

So, go Ravens.

+100

And, I'll add that Ed Reed deserves a ring, and the "49ers" fans popping up everywhere would be intolerable with all of this 6 Rings talk.

Some strong opinions both for and against Baltimore, the poll has it at a tie just about, so it's fair to say this one divides the Redskins support.

I don't know who I want to win, and I hate that!

PATRIOTS!!!!

No way in HELL/HEAVEN/EARTH/INBETWEEN/UNIVERSE/GALAXY/COMICBOOK/TV/RADIO/SATELLITE would I root for an NFC East team to win a SB.

I grew up in Maryland, though always a Redskin fan first and foremost, I see no incompatibility for rooting for my second favorite team that is in the AFC, who's success doesn't affect the Redskins except in a positive way when they beat another NFC team. So even if I didn't grow up in Maryland, I would naturally root for them when playing an NFC team, and absolutely when playing an NFC East team, except the Redskins of course.

I don't like the 49ers ...never have, and as already mentioned, they have caused some pain to the Redskin's fortunes in the past ... so &^% those left leaners from the City where men wear dresses.
