I'd like the Deadman to weigh in on this. I only see 2 things in the rules that lock a vistor's picks:
1 Thursday 11:59 PM comes and goes.
2 The host makes his picks.
Nothing says the visitor can't change his mind before the deadline as long as the host has not posted his picks.
Deadman?

You don't have to wait, you can lock his picks in by making yours now.

That is correct.

You are correct on all points.

THAT is why Justice was able to change his points total - his option was still available - the 'tribe' kind of let him off there

You are correct on all points.
One more clarification:
Even if the home team has picked, locking in the visitor's selections, he may still make changes to his picks, up until the start of the first game of the weekend. These changes have no effect on the visitor's locked status.

See?
I told you that you were bright enough for this and more.
I am glad everything worked its way out so that all posters are happy with their picks.

RiC: Believe what you want but in all honesty, I was simply trying to be funny.
SJ got the joke.
When SJ posted I realized you could lock my picks by making yours.
SJ: Thanks for the post.
RiC: Thanks for not locking me in. I think the rules are clear. I just did not read them carefully before SJ's post.
DarthMonk
PS - RiC, did you knock me out last year? I think you did.
No problem, brother.
I will post my picks soon.

Well, What can I say?
How on earth is one supposed to know whether your pick is for the visiting team (Green Bay) or "
@" the home team (San Fco) ???!!!
Is this an honest mistake one way or the other? In my book, the uncertain pick of this game may create doubts about your real choice.
Man! I tell ya. THREE sets of picks and you cannot get one right??? Are you nervous or something??? Too much Scotch, beer, etc???
Be that as it might be, these are my picks:
Saturday, Jan. 12
4:30 Baltimore @ Denver: Broncos
8:00 Green Bay @ San Francisco: 49ers
Sunday, Jan. 13
1:00 Seattle @ Atlanta: Falcons
4:30 Houston @ New England: Patriots
Total score: 196 points (49 points per game on average)
and my goal is to win on correct games and score!

Yes, assuming you make at least one correct pick, or a total score of one point.

Geez man, you posted all week in the thread and then don't get your picks in by the deadline? I wish I could allow it, but no go. I hope my picks beat yours so we don't have to face the "what if" scenario.
Broncos
Packers
Falcons
Patriots
179

And your point total is? Technically you could miss all the games and be tied at 0-4 with a zero point total.

By looking at my last set of picks before the deadline of 11:59.
Redskin in Canada wrote:Is this an honest mistake one way or the other? In my book, the uncertain pick of this game may create doubts about your real choice.
There's nothing uncertain about it. The only honest mistake was throwing out the obvious joke of 400.5 points

and not realizing (at the time) that you could abuse me by immediately duplicating my picks and posting a total of 400 points. Sorry you were/are confused ... kinda.

Redskin in Canada wrote:Man! I tell ya. THREE sets of picks and you cannot get one right??? Are you nervous or something??? Too much Scotch, beer, etc???

Take a close look at the 8:00 game on Saturday. Do you see the cause of the confusion? This was the impetus for this post:

ACW - I'm NOT officially 'in charge' of this, but ....
as one of the 'contestants' who has failed to move on ...
you are in the next round AND you are the home team
I'm sure "THE MAN" will explain better
IN THE NEXT ROUND - you make your picks AFTER the 'visiting picks' are made and you may change those picks at ANYTIME up until the first game
