1st QB in NFL history to be on pace for those numbers with 5 games to go.

Best Redskin rookie QB since Slingin' Sammy. Thinking about it...maybe they should let RG3 try punting...a quick kick off the shotgun? And the team is hurting at safety...maybe add RG3 to the DBs the next time the Skins go into the "prevent" defense? Yes: I'd like to see an INT with one of his 4-TD games.

No doubt he could do these well. Not sure about place kicks but punt return when we need it would be scary too.

He's also the best ball handler we've had since LeBaron.

Still aggravates me no end that our receivers dropped or just plain didn't reach for the ball twelve times in the Steeler game. Not ten or eleven, twelve. I'm counting the one Hankerson almost let hit him in the side of the head. Add those twelve as completions and he's leading the NFL in completion percentage and maybe on top in passer rating. What's more, we're probably 6 and 5 instead of 5 and 6.

From the 2012 Honest Predictions thread:

Irn-Bru wrote:My own observation last year was that merely adequate, much less accurate, QB play would have nudged us over the edge. We were clearly a competitive team, but we made mistakes that kept us from closing things out. A stout running attack and adequate defense were enough to keep us in it. What we needed were good throws on 3rd down to keep drives alive, and a big play down the field now and then to make other teams respect the threat we represented. We just weren't going to get that from Grossman, though he was a good enough game manager to keep us in the mix though disadvantaged.

As I said at the time and then again leading up to the draft, we really were that close to winning games: add competitive QB play, and I think we're going to be able to give teams problems. QB was our bottleneck. It isn't anymore.

Time will tell, but so far I am still confident with my prediction. The preseason went well for RGIII, and I'm inclined to believe all the sources who say the offeason camps and workouts went just as well, too.

Heck, if you take all of Rex's strip sacks and picks to wide open LBs and simply turn them into fetal-position give ups we go 8-8.

Still, we could be a much better team across the board and have the same record. We easily play 5 playoff-caliber teams outside our division. That makes 11 games against really good teams. 8-8 would be a terrific year and, again ...

No QB picked 1 or 2 overall has ever led his team to a .500 or better record as a rookie.

Just one record RG the third breaks!

Luck might get there first but look where we are. Gosh I wanna keep winning!

RGIII is just a bad ass mofo.

Nice to see you guys getting a shot at the division. MNF game was electric.

Does anyone know the record for most rush yards by 2 rookies on the same team? Morris & RGIII have 1800+ with 4 games left.

1,973 yards set in 1979 by the Cardinals

RGIII and Morris are at 1,820

I think they can combine for 154 over the next four games. :D

Just saw this on NFL Network:
Passer rating over last 4 games=134.7: highest ever by rookie over 4-game stretch.

156 (122 for Morris and 34 for Griffin) FTW!

Another one: best-selling jersey.
Robert Griffin III is not only impressing on the field, he's also making an impression off it. The Washington Redskins rookie quarterback's No. 10 jersey has sold more than any other player's in a single season since the NFL started keeping track six years ago, league spokeswoman Joanna Hunter told ESPN.com.

RG3 became the first player ever to lead the NFL in both yards per pass and yards per rush, and he set NFL rookie records for passer rating, interception rate and rushing yards. Griffin also recorded the fewest interceptions of any QB this season with 20+ passing touchdowns, and he joined Randall Cunningham (1990) as the only players in NFL history with 3,000 passing yards and 800 rushing yards in a season.

KILLED it! What an amazing time to be a skins fan... It's like watching a kid grow up.... A kid that gave you hopes, but sucked for the most part, and let you down for twenty years!
...but then hit the lotto!
Funny that we now have bandwagon/ fair weather fans. Cheers to all my peeps on Th.N that have been die hard loyal fans all the while- who refused to ever jump ship- EVEN, through the dark years. If I never see Zorn again it'll be tosoon! I hope my kids can enjoy RGiii for years to come, as he leads this team back to greatness. He has already elevated the players around him, and has put on an unimaginable rookie campaign. To think, he's only going to get better! Be afraid Jurrah, be VERY afraid!
HTTR
Hail, to, Rgiii!!

We were lovin' life, man!

How about Griff throws more than 541 times for more than 4,109 yards thereby breaking two of Jay Schroeder's team records:

... or

Griff throws for more than 31 TDs thereby breaking Sonny's team record:

or Griff scores on a TD run of more than 88 yards thereby breaking Billy Wells' team record.
