Flaming should be enough im my book. I can see some give and take and being tolerant to open opinions and sometimes debate gets out of hand but he is flaming and attacking members ...IF ALL REDSKIN FANS ARE LOSERS,STUPID AND CLUELESS isnt attacking... then what the hell Is?????he has been attacking us since day one,

Sounds great in principle, has not worked. Persistent little bugger is like a burr under the saddle blanket. Your not gonna get a pleasant ride till you remove it. I understand the idea of passive resistance, but it only works if your opponent operates by rules. If they are civilized you can use it against them. Barbarians and other less cultured types (you know, folks who don't bleed burgundy) don't care, they just keep doing whatever it was they were doing. It is not reasonable to assume that you could achieve 100% compliance with so many contributors, so, 'Troll's gonna eat'. Even if you did get a total boycott, creep's still gonna interjected nonstop, feedback or no.

All important civic matters were voted on by the citizens, who would vote yea or nay by placing a white or black pebble into an urn. Pebbles were counted, simple majority decided the matter. They also held another sort of vote once per year. Citizens would drop a name written on a small bit of cloth into an urn. Whomever had their name appear most was exiled under pain of death. I'm responding to this post but what I'm saying could be written following a half-dozen others in this thread.
If/when the poster breaks the rules, then consequences will follow. Just like with any other member. Some people in this thread need to realize that THN has very specific rules, and criticizing the team or even its fan base isn't one of them.
This is not a democracy. Please leave the moderating to the mods.
To the other person who asked: THN is BossHog's site, but he's in a busy stage of life and can't devote much time to the board. I'm the head moderator, so if you want to discuss anything please feel free to send me a PM.

I have often wondered if a thread initiated deliberately as a provocation should be in this forum or Smack. How should a pattern of provocation threads be considered?
These two issues create interesting philosophical questions in THN with some analogy to governments and democracies as a whole:
The rights of the individual v. the rights of the majority.
The US and most countries do have a Supreme Court to decide or interpret the scope of these rights. We call the Supreme Court in THN the head of moderators. He has spoken.
It is a matter of interpreting the rules and I have no doubt that the staff will do its best to ensure that there is a balance between the rights of one (and all individually, after all) and the rights of the majority.
For what it's worth, I would not ban the TROLL, I would simply move his threads to smack where they would get the "discussion" they truly deserve.
