Draft

Post by rskin72 »

Not a huge draftnik, and I will lose some interest after the second pick. But, one of the things that the Skins did well in the 80's was find value in later picks. Hopefully over the next few years, we will see similiar traits from the front office team of the Skins.

While not knowing specific people for specific pics, I would rank O Line as most important priority. Need good, young players to add depth. Would also think we need more LB help regardless of whether Fletcher signs or not. Finally, maybe a RB and CB/Safety.

NO QB's outside of pick #2.
A winning effort begins with preparation.
Failures are expected by losers, ignored by winners.

James runs a 4.37 Forty. And, at 5-10 200lbs. He's compact, and explosive enough to do great things in the stretch scheme, and the screen game. I'd use him as the true change of pace back with Roy Helu as the lead man.

When you have a QB like RG3 who runs a 4.3 and can throw the deep pass accurately. And, a checkdown back who can hit the flats running 4.3. Your offense immediately gets more dynamic. Who do you defend.

I'd be all for it if we're getting a guy in the 3d round who can be a real difference maker right from the jump.

Agreed. I believe James & Washington will be immediate contributors. Depending on (i) Jammal Brown and (ii) Free Agency, Mitchell Schwartz has a chance too.
SPIT HAPPENS!!
