Yeah that team in TX used to be my most hated. There is no doubt that the Gstrings and Mara are the new hated team for me. I cant remember the Cowpies ownership ever doing something like Mara has done. I cant go back too far though.

The Redskins team with their arch-enemy vs a mutual threat? Say it isn't so...
I live in Giants country. I've hated them more than the Cowboys for a while now, but it just kicked up a notch.

They have missed out not only signing players but they lose the future production of those players, throw in the players they have signed but they have had to limit the length of the contracts because of lack of option to use 2013 cap space now and this has hurt the growth of a rebuilding team.

The really annoying thing about this is that its mostly down to the Haynesworth deal.
If the muppet actually performed for us and was a starter now it wouldn't be half as bad, but to think we wasted all that time and money on that piece of _hit and yet that isn't penalty enough, we now get punished further even though he's long gone...
It's like his fat face is still laughing at us whilst he continues to spend the money he 'earned' in his short time in DC.
If this cap space penalty sticks then the Haynesworth deal, if not already, is the worst in the history of the NFL IMO.

Do the Math
Rob the Redskins and pick pocket ttiT, you got a third of what you need...
Mara, Goodell, and D. Smith got together...
Put Smith back in office, looked at Philthy and gave them a pass and hit Mara's other rivals with restrictions less than a day before the market opened.
They screwed up when they tried to rob two crooks... billionaire crooks no less.
A bunch might come out during these meetings this week. they may even reach a settlement without the arbitrator or the can fight until it ends up in court.
To me it looks like Goodell, Smith along with Mara & Committee colluded to punish certain teams for not colluding

That is only a partial list. It was a list of new members. The other members are listed in the article.
However, I'm sure Wayne Weaver is no longer on the committee since he is no longer an NFL owner.

I'm no D. Smith fan, but he kind of got strong-armed on this deal by Mara/Goodell. Agree to this deal or we won't raise the salary cap and you will be in hot water with the NFLPA. I suspect he will be more than happy that the Skins/Boys aren't taking this lying down.
Anyway, I am just psyched that the Redskins are going after the league on this deal. Arbitration is the smartest way to go about it to prevent the larger collusion issues from exploding. I don't see any possible way that an unbiased, third party can look at what happened and say it was fair.
Oh and John Mara can suck it.

I think these are various chairpersons of various committees as opposed to members of the Exec. Man. Council Committee which, I beleive, is composed entirely of owners.

Burbank should overturn this penalty. I expect that he will if he's not in the NFL's pocket. Andrew Brandt would overturn it. Let's hope they think in line over there at UPenn.

This is the real issue. I think we'll get the cap space back eventually. The longer this drags on the more it will limit our ability (and the 'boys) in putting the 2012 team together and limits acquisitions/resignings.
Mara knows that. Look at the timing of the penalty. The damage has been done. This is win-win for him. He has limited the ability of two team in his conference to become more competitive. Even when we get the cap space back, Mara still wins. By then probably most of the good free agents will be signed and that may include many of ours also.
The only thing that make me smile is thinking how pi$$ed he must be that we swept his team this past year ... and how much more pi$$ed he will be when we do it again this year!
