In a perfect world, I'd be elated...but the neck injury is too scary for me. If we did just so happen to get Manning, the whole season would be a nail biter in hoping that A. he could play to the level he always has and B. hope to God that his neck doesn't get re-injured.

Not if we also draft RGIII.

Doing this would show that the skins have learning NOTHING from their past errors in judgement.

And if it did happen, I would highly question who is actually making our personnel decisions -- this would stink of Snyder.

Why? Signing Peyton as a FA doesn't cost us anything as long as we don't stray from our draft agenda because of the signing.

Would you feel the same if they still drafted a QB as well? At the very least, our new rookie QB of the future would benefit from being around one of the best QB's to play the game.

Ummm... wouldn't that be Peyton Manning?
Nope. The all-time great QB from Tennessee, Heath Shuler.

That's why there would be contract language that gives the team an out.

It's not like money is an issue for this team. Worth it if he's healthy enough to play at 80% (still better than Rex), he can co-exist with Kyle, and we're also drafting a QB.

Like Curtis Painter benefited behind Manning? Neither Manning has ever even entertained the idea of grooming their replacement.

Not smart enough to an NFL QB, but smart enough to be a Congressman!
