[quote="Redskins_Fanatic"]Luck isn't the answer to the problems with the Redskins. Bruce Allen and the Coaching Staff are much bigger problems than the QB position is.
I forsee the Redskins picking in the top 5-7 of the First Round, and that should give themthe opportunity to get a solid starter and star, or to trade down to get more bodies for the meat grinder like we did this year. I also see the potential to put Orakpo on the trading block, since it appears Kerrigan is working out fine.

What am I smoking?.... It's called a REALITY STICK. We have 2 OLB's who can't do much more than rush the passer. We're getting SLAUGHTERED in the short passing game because neither one of them could cover ME from the RB or TE position and because our DC refuses to DEMAND our DB's actually come up and BUMP a ****ing WR at the LOS. We desperately need an OLB who can COVER and be a run stopper to play opposite ONE of the two current OLB's. Unless you're gonna tell me that a converted DE from college can learn to cover a RB/TE effectively before the beginning of next season. That ship has sailed in terms of Orakpo. I think Kerrigan has more upside than Orakpo, and I'd look to trade "Rak" for something of value (NOT DRAFT PICKS) in the coming offseason.

I'm all over this, and have been... I'm ok if we "Whiff for Griff..."
well... not really, but I think I'd be just fine if we took him. The problem is, once it's out that you may be targeting a player, others start considering ways to get in front of you... that may have been the reason Jake Locker was off the board when the 'skins went on the clock (nobody saw Tenn jumping up to do that)... and may have changed our draft significantly.

One thing no one has mentioned is the possibility that Luck goes into the draft and pulls an Eli Manning stunt saying he won't play for anyone but
his coach. Meaning Harbaugh.
I kinda doubt he'll do this though as the Niners would have to give up too much in trade. His best bet would be to go to Indy and sit behind Manning a couple years and learn... that is if Manning ever comes back.

Now suppose the Rams have the pick and they want Luck. Bradford becomes expendable, Shanny loves him, and he is part Cheorkee!
So when Shanahan praised Rams rookie quarterback Sam Bradford the other day, people listened.
"Well, I've been watching him a lot throughout his collegiate career and in preseason games he went pretty good," Shanahan said. "He's very impressive. He's a guy that comes around once every 10 years, in my opinion. He's that type of quarterback. Maybe 15 [years]."
When informed of Shanahan's comments, Bradford said he was honored.
"That is a huge compliment," he said in a conference call with reporters who cover the Redskins. "For someone like Coach Shanahan to say that about me, it's just a huge compliment. When you hear things like that it makes you just want to work that much harder to prove to everyone else that you can be that good and be that type of player."
What could we do to get Bradford in that situation??

He's on a Jr and maybe not ready to come out just yet but I've watched him play a bit and he looks pretty good. QB is a position it's hard for me to scout.
I googled this dude to find what the scouting buzz on him was (didn't ind much info but i didn't look for very long) after seeing one of his games a few weeks back or so; saw him stand tall in the pocket stepping into throw after throw when he was about to get crushed in the face every time, and he stuck in big-time throw after big-time throw downfield, right on target in the face of that pressure. don't know much about him but hard not to be impressed by that.

Excuse me but it doesn't matter who we have, that offensive line SUCKS how you give up 9 sacks to a bunch of No names? Answer??? Be a washington redskin lineman, that's how. There are only 2 people that deserve to be Redskins, and that is London Fletcher and Sean Taylor, and as you know one of them is dead. So that tells you how bad and screwed up this whole entire organization is.
