don't know that there's a controversy, BH... unless it's Kyle saying "give Rexy one more chance"... 'cause the fan base saw it... All 4 picks were the result of pathetic decision making. The Eagles decided to sell out on the run, and force Grossman to beat them... and he wasn't up to it. Had Beck gone in earlier... or pehaps even not so rust covered, the outcome would have been different. You could see that Beck 1: Extended plays to get the most opportunity to find an open receiver, and, 2: found those receivers. Unfortunately, he was unable to get the ball into their hands quite enough. Had he been with the #1's for the last week, the timing would have been a lot better...

The Team was carrying Rex during the previous games and not the other way around. To be fair, Rex had not shown his "full potential" to do damage yet. But it was a matter of time.
The ONLY problem with this is that BOTH father and son coaches did BET their reputations on the pick of Rex Grossman over John Beck at the beginning of the season. There was no need to BET anything on anyone but they did. I hope both are humble enough to eat a bit of crow now instead of switching back and forth.
We will see whether we have a controversy or not. I would hope that Beck plays well enough to start from now on ... until the end of the season when we start looking at our franchise QB options seriously with the Draft and FA.

It's the same Father and Son team that paid a fairly steep price for a "top tier" quarterback whom, it turned out, was already cooked. They did not hesitate when that became clear. They pulled the plug.
At this point, I believe that EVERY TURNOVER SO FAR THIS YEAR HAS COME FROM THE HAND OF REX!!! How much clearer can the writing be? It's time to pull the plug.

It is true that the former "coaches" on all of the sports channels and over at NFLN seem in unison... give Rex one more chance...
Darn it... do they even watch the games???

I think Rex will start. By pulling him last game I think Shanny was sending the message that he is not immune to being replaced. Who knows, maybe he comes out next week and has his best game yet...

What lesson will he have learned this past Sunday that he hasn't learned in any of his previous myriad benchings? Please.

Grossman has proved his worth - it's time for a Beck call
