The "true definition of a trap game"? :hmm:

Um, for whom? Dallas? They are the favorites here. But I doubt they are looking beyond us, considering we've played them tough in the last few years.

And I can guarantee you that the 'Skins aren't looking past this one, either.

Had no idea that the Cowboys were favored

Line: Cowboys by 5.5.

Talk about no respect!

Right on. No "trap game" game here for either side. Even as a fan, you never look past Dallas.

No respect is a good thing. Trust me on this.

Any "sportsmen" here know how Vegas has faired this season? I haven't followed the lines at all. Just wondering if they are having a hard time this season?

They never have a rough time. Point spreads are chosen to get even money on both teams. That way they collect the vig, and never lose.

The Dead man's right on here - the guy's in Vegas do NOT lose

the 'spread' is ONLY about getting people to bet - bigger bettors will favor 'their' teams - that is why NY looks like a 'better' team in the point spreads - you have a lot of idiots that will bet on their team no matter what the realities are

The Pats just got beaten by the Bills - there is NO CHANCE that the Bills will be favored to beat the Pats in the next 5 years

the pukes are ONLY favored because of the bettors NOT because the pukes are more likely to win this game

Redskins win this game - we're better than they are

BEAT DALLASS

To quote the great Clubber Lang (as well as one of our esteemed members from earlier this year):

Listening to some radio - predicting a winner in tonight's game -

"the Cowboys are favored ...." this is ONLY because of the betting guys in Vegas
as has been pointed out, this has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with which team the guys in Vegas think will win
this is ONLY about how many points do they have to give to get people to bet on the Redskins

looking at this game, the Redskins should actually be favored, they are playing better than the pukes, at this time

The Redskins should win this game and go 3-0

The sun is shining on us here in DC my friends. I've curbed my enthusiasm slightly over the past 48 hours but today on a nice easy drive into work, it all came back to me. I saw a dalass chevy tahoe, I saw a dalass saturn.. then I saw a Redskins charger, a Redskins explorer, an old crown vic with more Redskins stuff on it than I can even remember, a Redskins F-150- the new one.. omg I lusted for that truck on the road this morning.

Gonna be a good day everyone, its gonna be a better evening, and a great night. God bless you all, and God bless our Skins.

BEAT DALASS!!!!!!!

..and for the record.. Grossman, 346 passing yards, 3 tds; Santana-1, Cooley-1, Hightower-1 (screen pass for a breakaway run). Hightower rushes for 110yards and 1 td.

Redskins 34, Cows 19

GO SKINS!!!!

I don't even think this game will be close. I'm going out on a limb to say that Skins win by at least 2 touchdowns.

I just think that this group are really fired up and we're the more focused team

I look for the pukes to feel the pressure and will play not to lose

The Redskins will game plan to determine the way the game is played - we're going to pressure them offensively & defensively

The momentum is with us - they are feeling it :D

I'm kind of surprised how many NFC East fans are hoping the pukes win BECAUSE they think the Redskins may be the team to beat

Our D needs to keep Romo and Co. from scoring more than 17 points. Our O must play it's best game yet and if they do we should score more than 17 to win.

If the Redskins win this game to go to 3-0 I don't know what I would do. Then, so long as they don't overlook St. Louis they should be 4-0. Then, then my Hogs bretheren would be what would be the GAME of the year (so far) - beating up on the Eagles to go 5-0 and knock them to 1-5.

5-0 into the bye. Possible? Perhaps I am getting ahead of myself. I should focus on work.

If we cannot pummel Romo tonight with the awful shape the Cowpatties o-line is in then that would be a travesty. I hope we win big (without Landry, Hall, and Kerrigan making big plays rather other guys making big plays).

I think this will be a grinder kind of game honestly. I'm saying we win but I have the over/under @ 35.

Anyone in Austin going to be downtown tonight for the game?

Yes and no.

If they play it safe this is exactly what they do. But every week they do not play safe on a few games.

Here's an example where some books in Vegas gambled and made extra money:

The Patriot/Bill game opens at Pats by 9. The public says "OMG, easy money" and starts betting on the Pats. If all Vegas wants to do is equalize the betting to make the safe vig they increase the spread to encourage bets on the Bills. But that's not what happened. The line MOVED THE OTHER WAY. This means Vegas thinks the Bills are the right side. They lower the spread to 7 and get EVEN MORE MONEY on the Pats.

The Bills win and Vegas cleans up.

Sometimes they take a bath.

A decent way to make money betting NFL long-term is to look for lines moving the wrong way and bet against the public.

I am now kind of torn between whether it's good to knock Romo out of the game or let him play, as he is our best player. His pick six to Hall last year allowed the skins to win. It was Kitna who beat us later in the year in a shoot-out. The best strategy would to be in his face and let him hurt a little to affect his throws but not take him out of the game.

He didn't throw a pick six hall stripped the rb for six

THIS YEAR - we have a MUCH better shot at winning with Romo NOT at QB

The defense will be fine no matter who the pukes have at QB

The Redskins offense shows up to win this game
