Chris Neild on pace for a 32 sack Regular Season... LOL

If someone asked me to pick the hi that would lead the team in sacks this game i think I would have gone through a dozen players before I would have gotten to him!

To top it off, the Cowturds just gave up a 14 point lead 4th 1/4 to lose to the JETS.

Oh, happy day :)

Glad to see Rex with the Cardiovascular endurance and to put up a 110 passer rating!!!! Some former Redskins quarterback today had a Passer rating less than 50.

Nice win! 1-0. Good way to start the season. Good solid "D". Good RB, TE's and a WR core in the making. However, the O line needs work... and how! This was a somewhat depleted Giants team on both sides of the ball. Grossman played OK after the 1st quarter but he got sacked too easily and too many times in this game. Also, what alarms me is the virtual lack of running game... all evidence of either stupid play calling or weak O line.

KUDOS to the Hogettes. They were in fine form at FedEx Field today. It wouldn't be a Redskins game without 'em. Nice too see them!

Anyway, 1-0. 2 thumbs up. HTTR

You have to give the Redskins' players and coaches a lot of credit for making the effort and finding a way to win this game

Troy & Joe were so biased - I thoroughly enjoyed hearing them trying to be 'objective'

there were many areas of concern (the O line, the secondary) but it's a win and we found a way to get it done

there are a lot of things for both the players and coaches to take from this and use it to work hard to get corrected

what a great way to start

ESPECIALLY on such an emotional filled day for our country
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I admit, when the game started with two three and outs then the missed FG I thought it was deja vu all over again. I was impressed that they came back from that start. One game at a time but it makes this Monday morning sweeter.

NOW we find that Vegas has begun this week by making the Redskins 4 1/2 point favorites over Arizona

Arizona allowed Cam Newton to throw for 422 yards in his first NFL start. Without the punt return TD, 'Zona doesn't win. Vegas is right. 8)

Well, for parts of the game we were coming from behind. But I would say we ran when it mattered (at the goal line early, just enough to have a play action, and late when sitting on a lead).

My game day story:

I was incredibly bummed to find myself with a conflict on Sunday... at 4:15 p.m. EDT, I would be starting the afternoon session of a day-long conference at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Now, I've had to miss games before, but I usually tape them and watch them later the same day (or maybe not, depending on how the game goes). But this time, though I had set my DVR, I knew it would be Wednesday night before I could watch the game. Perhaps not such a big deal in another year, but for the first game in a season where I'm more optimistic than I've been in years, I hated to miss it.

So, I'm sitting in the conference, looking at the ESPN Gamecast on my iPad (had to pay $25 just to get online).

Then, my client decides to leave the conference early, but asks me to go to the reception afterward for him. I think about it for a minute and then decide to bug out of there and come back for the reception. I grab a cab to the strip and end up at a mexican restaurant that is showing the game, now well into the second quarter.

Just as I sit down, a freak storm rolls through, and there's torrential downpour, blocking the satellite signal.

"Just my luck," I thought. Now I'm stuck at some restaurant, and if this rain keeps up I'll miss the game AND the reception after the conference.

Then, just as quickly as it came through, the storm was gone, and the game was back on.

I got to watch the rest of the game, enjoying a nice cold beverage, and I made it back to the conference to see most of the last panel and head to the reception.

So, all in all, a pretty good day!

Yes we won. Yes we beat our arch rivals. Yes we are a better team than last year. But, the Giants were not close to being full strength. So, don't get carried away. One game at a time. We have to win games against teams like Arizona.

 we don't "have to win" ANY games - we just have to play well, each and EVERY game

we will win some games, we will lose some games - we should end up 8-8 or 9-7 - that is fantastic

not long ago, this franchise put a product on the field that nobody was proud of
MOST NFL fans STILL think of this franchise as a joke

we are NOT a joke anymore and this franchise is well on it's way back to respectability - it will NOT happen because of 1 game but this season will show a lot of us that we are going to be contending for the playoffs in 2012 and beyond

ENJOY the win - it's a GREAT START to the season - THAT's ALL IT IS

Grampi, we beat them in 2007 in the Meadowlands during our four game win streak to make the play-offs. It was a windy, rainy game with Collins at the helm. Brandon Jacobs dropped almost every pass thrown to him in that game.

They were clearly bent on stopping our run and making Rex beat them.

ALWAYS great to beat the giants

ALWAYS great to beat a division rival

ALWAYS great to start the season off with a win

ALWAYS great to start the season off at home, in a late game, with a win

c'mon DM, ease up a little - the Hogettes are a part of the 'package'
