This board is for Redskins fans. You, sir, are not a Redskins fan and your posts illustrate this fact. I do not know how many games we will win or lose during the first five games, but I wholeheartedly guarantee we will not be 0-5. I can guarantee I will be there watching every game whether it is 16-0 or 0-16. "Suck for Luck" is just not an option and why not have faith in Beck managing the offense? Why not at least have some hope? You, sir, are a closet (or not) Iggles fan and need to stop opening threads about Andrew Luck.

Cappster you do not know, do not tell me that I am not a Redskins fan. I am a diehard Redskins, I have stated my reasons for why I want Andrew Luck. You do not have to agree with them but not tell me I like Filthy or any other team.

You are not a redskins fan. Sorry (not really), but that is true. Everyone on here knows it and you keep opening threads about Luck like you are some strange stalker of him or something. Leave our home of redskins Iggles fan or produce some conversation that is worthy of talking about. The rest of what I have to say to you will be in smack as you are not worth of being on the main board within these message boards.

I don't believe they can.

I'll explain it to you.

Hang on: -drinking -drinking -drinking -drinking -drinking -drinking

Only the highly evolved redskin fan can understand the utilitarian position of purposeful losing in order to obtain the one and true savior, Albert (hiccup) Luck. Such a position is not to be contested by you morons (hiccup) who do not (hiccup), nay can (hiccup) not understand the vision of tanking the season for 1 man. The only reason it has never happened before is because no else has had the courage (hiccup) to commit to and orchestrate the total effort of 53 players, 20 some odd coaches, trainers, personnel men, water boys and the dude (hiccup) who carries the headset chord toward the one true absolving sacrifice of. . . of. . . excuse m. . . :puke: -drinking . . .
0-16. But by god, in year 2 of our rebuilding (or building, whatever (hiccup)) process, this is the only true and right and (hiccup) moral course of action. We must have the hall of famer Alvin Luck!!! FOR THE GREATER GOOD!!!!

... as for our first 5 games ...

It's actually a good title for a thread.

I think the 2nd game is crucial. It's a sandwich game (between Giants and Cowgirls) which we should win. Therefore we must win it. That makes the Giant game doubly important as the odds are against us @ the Cowgirls. A home win over an out-of-synch Giant team could propel us forward with confidence which is perhaps more important than talent - certainly when talent is close - and talent is close in the NFL - even for us now.

Game 4 is at Rams. Last year we spotted them 14 easy ones and had a halftime lead of 16-14 after dominating but not finishing. This could be a payback game or a tough loss. Here's to hoping the Rams are another year away and we get payback.

2 or 3 bounces that don't even out in any game could land us anywhere from 3-1 to 1-3 (or even 0-4 to 4-0).

Then a bye. I'll stop at 4 games.

I see the 1st as a toss-up but we are at home - much like Cowgirl game last year. It goes to final play and we win. I'll get in for face somehow.

We barely beat the Cards. This game scares me.

We lose @ Cowgirls. Probably not a toss-up plus they are at home.

If we are 2-1 we beat the Rams. If we are 1-2 we lose.

Let's go spank the frickin' Giants and not lose to the Cards because we are looking ahead to the Cowgirls.

I would be shocked. Especially since we will start out 2-0. Kind of hard to lose your first five if you win your first two games!

sorry mate - you just don't see, and that's the issue here

that and the obvious conclusion that you are NOT a REAL Redskins fan because NOBODY that is a REAL Redskins fan would NOT want them to be as successful as they can each be and every week

we are likely to win some games we shouldn't this season and lose some games we should have won
THAT IS THE NFL - ANY GIVEN SUNDAY

we would like to get a great QB here but we just need to take the process of remaking this franchise one step at a time

WE ARE GETTING BETTER

we all want to be MUCH better now - it will happen soon but not tomorrow

you are going to be VERY disapointed just like a lot of us were in how Lavar Arrington was NOT as good a LB in the NFL as he thought he was - EVER

actually Lavar looked like a CANNOT MISS LB coming out of college - he NEVER measured up to his potential - now that may have been because of who he had around him - but here you are advocating giving up everything for a QB :hmm:

Mike & Bruce are trying to add all the pieces to ensure success - THE QB just isn't here yet - GEEZ

Funny how that happens to a lot of kids coming out of college ball, don't you think

we're going to be happy with what we've got here soon and you still will NOT be a REAL Redskins fan

The only thing I am worried about is if we win 4 of those five. Then our team feels all high and proud and we have let downs the following games. Which happened in Zorns first season.

Other than then the previously mentioned. I think this team will win the Nfc East. Just take it one game at a time.

I can understand that Hero but Zorn compared to Shan though, I think Shan will have them level headed while Zorn.. heck, Zorn didn't even know our team colors.

Hero - this is definetly NOT a group of players or coaches like we had with Zorn

that's part of the problem here - many fans are relating to this and that but not to the reality that is - this is NOT like anything we've had here in the last 12 years

there is a plan in place (the Shanaplan) and we now have both coaches and players that are unlike anything we've seen in years

the analogies to other teams and franchises don't apply here any longer

this is a whole new deal for us - this franchise is undergoing a massive transformation

WE ARE VERY LUCKY to have THIS FO and these players and coaches

we might not win all 5 games but we will see a completely different look both on the field and with the attitudes of both players and coaches to both practices and the games

If ANY player or ANY coach is not totally giving their VERY best they will not be here

This is for you Skins Jock.

The Shanahans FA signings/trades from last year have not worked out so well and that is putting it nicely. Lets review them.

Traded for McNabb, FA Joey Galloway, Maaeke Kemoetau, Adam Carriker, traded for Jammal Brown, Josh Bidwell, (we ended up going through 3 punters last year) Ryan Torain and Keiland Williams. signed Artis Hicks (to start)- he was unable to cut it as a starter. Brandon Banks and Phillip Buchanon.

I count 13 players which include the 3 punters we went through during last season. Of those 13 players 6 are cut. Phillip Buchanon is a nickle corner at best who is suspended for our first four games . Artis Hick lost his job as a starter during the season and is now a backup. Ryan Torrain can't stay healthy and MS knew this because he he had the same problems in Denver when Shanahan drafted him in 2008. Keiland Williams is in danger of being cut. Oh and the icing on the cake we got ripped off by a division rival on wasting a 2nd round pick and 4th rounder to have him McNabb for one year. Don't even get me started on how poorly MS and KS handled McNabb and Haynesworthless during last year.

That leaves with Adam Carriker, Jammal Brown, Brandon Banks (an undrafted FA) Torain, (Tim Hightower MR. Fumbling machine will start over Torain) Keiland Williams (who will be cut) and Artis Hicks. OH BABY! What a great FA (we had last year) (insert sacrasm here)

Gee, that list doesn't look bad.
Considering the first year for a coach in a reclamation project is to assess what he has and what he needs, Shanaha did ok, not great, but 50% more wins than the previous season. Now he is rid of those who don't fit his system, and has replaced the whiners and prima donas with players with an old fashioned work ethic. Betcha none of them would throw a game, much less a season.

Yea that would be me.. I'm also the same guy who fights fans of other teams in Fedex Field, Landover Mall (R.I.P.), Forestville, Uptown, Silv. Spring, Laurel, Sterling, IAD/DCA, Southside, G-Burg, Georgetown, etc..

You can't stick up for anything DC related, you should change that from your location by the way.

I definitely think we can open with a win. The Gints have a lot of depth on defense, but the depth is who will be starting in a number of spots on the line and both corners. The depth behind the depth... maybe not so deep. On offense, the line is majorly overhauled and not in synch so far. Baas is gone. Eli choked under pressure. He threw 25 ints last season and lost 5 fumbled, even tho sacked only 16 times.

We can spank these guys and get a leg up on the division.

When did the Cardinals and Rams become power houses?? and what have the Cowgirls done to improve themselves. I think in even a worst case scenario, we go at least 2-3 in the first 5.

Rams beat us last year with Stephen Jackson getting hurt in the first quarter and with Sam Bradford as a rookie. Now the Rams have added Harvey Dahl and Mike Sims Walker. The Rams will beat us. Kolb to Fitzgerald has been a deadly combo this preseason I do not see us containing those 2 we will lose to them also.
