Not quite over yet.... $316,000 in Dead Cap

Remember when Riggins made less than this (300K), held out (FOR A YEAR!) for 500K, and came back and played for Gibbs for 300K while negotiating?
Money is unreal now. Later, Malcolm. Just don't go to Denver and lead the league in receiving.

Heh. We've seen much, much worse though. We just got Archuleta off the payroll, I hear.

That would have been a great pickup if he was good

It hasn't been this short in years
Moss, Santana.............$5,482,000
Haynesworth, Albert.....$3,000,000
Rabach, Casey............$2,867,000
Kemoeatu, Ma'ake.......$2,325,000
Kelly, Malcolm.............$316,000
Henson, Robert............$51,000
Would be much longer if 2010 hadn't been a uncapped year.

Skins have room to sign one player with Moore and Landry still on the PUP list

MS will probably bring back Joey Galloway he loved him so much last year.

When exactly DO cuts need to happen anyway? By midnight? By 4 PM?
I thought like you that Shanny would wait until Kelly was healthy to waive him to avoid the settlement. Wow, Shanny couldn't get rid of the guy fast enough ot more likely he wants to invest more time into who can get on the field.
Do you have a take on why the Skins, would pay the guy to leave?

Can you explain Moss being on this list?

Moss contract voided with pro-rated money after the 2010 season ended making him a free agent, under the new CBA they couldn't dumb it into the uncapped year so it was treated like a post June 1st release. They did dump the other $5M+ into the 2010 bottomless pit though

How many times can we cut one guy?
I heard he was cut three more times later in the day...

As you well know, the Redskins cap people have been about the only functional aspect of the organization over the last 10 years. Jerry Jones is probably wishing he had them right about now.

Yes, we are truly the cap champions every season.

Boy I am surprised about Kelly being waived injured. Maybe he just wasn't going to be healthy in another week anyway so they just figured on dumping him again. Like a lot of Skins fans I thought Kelly, Thomas and Davis might be key parts of the offense by now, but it didn't happen that way.

I wonder if they keep a TE, maybe another RB for Sellers. I love the guy, but he is getting long in the tooth.

They knew he was gone and we had a short camp, so they probably cut him so they could have more time to assess the rest of the positions.
Even though I've been calling for it, I felt bad for Malcolm when I saw his name listed. He seems like a really good kid. But he just doesn't have an NFL body, it had to be done.

Shanny gambled on Kelly last year, keeping him on the roster and all, but after getting injured again I guess we had to move on. Our WRs are pretty good considering we have a Vet in Stallworth that is a "maybe" in making the roster. I hope Kelly the best, maybe he gets healthy later on, who knows we might pick him up later on in the season.

Heard an interview with him yesterday and he's very frustrated in how he was handled health wise by the team trainers/doctors. He said that he told them he wasn't ready for the 1 practice he had this year. Had he have not practiced, he could've been on PUP but once again, like last year, they rushed him back from injury. So don't expect him to come back here. He'll get healthy and get on someone's roster later in the year when he's 100%. I say good for him if that happens.

Yeah, we're stupid, I mean clearly we didn't give him enough years to get on the field. It was what, three? I mean ridiculous, who can play more then five games in three years? And seriously, we cut him when clearly we wanted him desperately on the team, who can blame him for signing with someone else just to screw us?

Scratch that, no TE/RB can Maul a LB/DB like this guy can, he looks good 2 go for another 2-3 yrs barring injury

Kelly is a bum. Period, point blank. When his remaining money runs out, he'll be where he deserves to be. A cubicle.

Does Graham Gano point to God after every kick? I'm pretty sure God even leaves it up to you to make an extra point.
