That was a shame. Hopefully they can find a good replacement to fill in. They said earlier that because of the long lock-out that there may be a lot of trades at the end of pre-season as teams only have so much time to evaluate their own talent.
I just heard that RT Ryan Harris of the Eagles has a herniated disk and is out for the season. Looks like we made a good move in keeping Brown. I expected a lot of injuries because of the short off-season, but so far it seems to be about normal.

Harris will have back surgery next week, according to CSNPhilly.com.
Winston Justice is still injuried, so the DREAM Team has a 3rd string tackle starting at RT, Vick is left handed meaning he has no one protecting his blind side.
We have more DL to fill th void for us....

Aaaaaah, why not Daniels? He's probably better than anyone else out there or who might be released. He was said to be in the best shape of his life and was ready to come back strong.
Saaaaay, you not holding a grudge against him, because he jumped offsides on that field goal by the Lions which took the 3 points off the board, gave them a first down and lead to a crucial 7 points and maybe costing the game and ultimaately the embarrassment of Donovan being yanked, are you?

for the most part he should be fine the sooner the better for healing and rehab.NYFINESTSKINSFAN wrote:Not too familiar with ACL tears, but does this sort of injury end careers, stymie players to reach their full potential when they return, or usually have full recoveries after the surgery along with rest time?

I think that you are right. Shanny will wait and see what the cuts release or maybe a straight up trade in the manner of giving up a young, up and coming DB for a bench warming QB type of trade. I hear those type of trades work out sometimes.

This sucks! JJ was going to be a difference maker on our D Line this year. Hate that we lost him for the year. Now that he is a true Redskin I can overlook that he went to Clemens (misspelling intentional for those of you that know). jk Looking forward to his rehab and returning next year. Now we need to find someone to replace him.

Once upon a time, yes. Today, no. Usually, the replacement ligament is stronger than the original... but it does take a full year to heal completely. Anticipate that he won't be fully back to form until late 2012 or even the 2013 season. But, he will be back...NYFINESTSKINSFAN wrote:Not too familiar with ACL tears, but does this sort of injury end careers, stymie players to reach their full potential when they return, or usually have full recoveries after the surgery along with rest time?

I agree with countertrey, but would expect him to be really close to 100% by this time next year.
If it was an achilles rupture, he would never be the same. OL and DL never seam to ever be the same after they lose an achilles. I think it had something to do with their size and never really having confidence in that leg again.
