No way do I think it is a good idea. Unless and I mean unless we get some major compensation. Other then that I hate the way the whole thing went down. What a waste. Heck I would even be open to Shanahan mending the relationship(not likely).
I want BAllen to just send him to the Raiders for a couple draft picks. Sounds good to me. We should have just traded him straight up for Namdi straight up last year and then give Nnamdi a fat contract. Namdi at least performed for a miserable club. Unlike Al who hardly played and was just a headache.
SORRY - I'll grant that this slob had talent but there is no way that he can suddenly become a force again on defense - he doesn't have the drive or the desire
a really good player is good to great EVERY play he's involved with
this guy is not capable of "dedicating" ANYTHING - he's JUST a fat slob

I'm really into watching this guy waste away s l o o o w ly - what a waste
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I hope you are right. Unfortunatley even when he was not motivated when he was in the game he was a force.
Seriously it is not a good idea to let him go to a division rival. Mark my words if he lands on the Eagles he is going to perform at pro bowl level. That is something I dont want. Philly runs a 43 and his former coach is there as well.
No way would i consider giving him to Philly unless we get outrageous compensation. First round pick and that is not happening.
Honestly if Mike and him can mend the relationship I rather have that.

I'm curious, no one else has any idea what motivates the guy, how is it you know with such certainty exactly? Responsibility didn't motivate him, plies of money didn't motivate him, his team didn't motivate him. We had nothing to offer him that he cared about, why exactly are you so convinced that "getting" us would actually do the trick when he could care less about being here?

Its not getting payback that will make him so good. He was already talented. If we all remember correctly the whole reason he wanted out was the switch to a 34. Its not like he was terrible when he was on the field.
If we let AH go to Philly. What do we get out of it? A fourth or fifth round pick? Hardly equal value for what we or Snyder has given the guy. Benching him would be a better option then sending him to Philly.
Seriously think about. The possibility of him playing at pro Bowl level again is not worth the risk. Philly already massacred us last year. Why the heck would I want to make there defensive line stronger.
Another thing. There will be too many positives for him to succeed in Philly as well. He would reunite with his old coach. He would be playing in a 43.
Those two factors could easily translate to success.
You guys cant seriously think that he wont be able to be a Pro Bowler again. He was the top defensive tackle when we signed him. All of a sudden comes to our team and has lost it all?

Another thing to make him more thing to make him successful, you have to have a money incentive for him.
The major thing you need to make him successful is for the defensive coordinator to turn him loose. With the Titans, he had no responsibilities except create havoc in the backfield. It is unlikely that Philly's D coordinator will do that. It took the Titans five years to finally do that. Don't forget that Albert feuded with the Redskin 4-3 DC Greg Blache, so if he doesn't get his way, he will cause Philly trouble.
Finally, yes, I do agree with you that Albert can play at the Pro Bowl level again, but the D must be built around him just like the Titans did.
Used in a conventional scheme, he can be handled easily especially when he tires. He is a poor technique player and with the right scheme - See Jim Schwartz (Lions) versus us in 2009. He ran right at Haynesworth and torched us for nearly 200 years rushing including a 99 yard drive. See Andre Gourade (Cowboys) - the guy that got his head stomped. Albert stomped the guys head because Gourade owned him in that game.
I don't think that Mike or Jim are worried about the likelihood that Haynesworth can be a force at DT - they both know that's not the case
We need to see if we can get anything for him or what extent Haynesworth will go to get out of here
I hope we keep him until someone (another franchise or Haynesworth) gives us something for him
no good player needs to resort to dirty play - good players just play harder - this guy is not a good player any more
This guy should not be allowed to go & get more money - even though that team will then see that this fat slob doesn't have it any more

Yes, he was terrible and he was on the field way to little which had to do with is lack of conditioning, not the defensive scheme. Fixing the scheme isn't going to fix his lack of caring. And his more frequent off the field incidents and failure to control himself to the point of jail are showing how his world is orbiting more and more around himself.
So, regarding...

...because he can play at a pro-bowl level means he will is an ever decreasing likelyhood, not increasing one. As he ages he has to work harder just to maintain, even more so for lard butts.
Everything points to his continuing to decline, not a reversal. That it's possible doesn't lead to your conclusion his going to the Eagles means pro-bowl level's going to happen. Maybe he'll care for a brief moment over mai tais on the beach, but he's not going to work for it in the locker room, study room and on the field, which is what it's going to take.

The players and coaches here know what they have with this waste of space and there is absolutely no reason to just let him go
Haynesworth may want to buy his way out or some team may lose a player and get desparate enough to think that he might be worth a 4th or 5th
whatever - keep his fat butt here - at least until we need his roster spot
this guy's best plays are behind him - pardon the pun

AH may be getting older sure. However he has had a good track record before he came to Washington. Most of his career he has been successful.
He worked hard with the Titans. He said it himself that he wanted to be traded to a team who runs a 43. He held out of practice hoping MS would trade or release him. We all know what went down.
You dont have to take my word for it if you believe that AH will not help another team. Thats fine.
Just put this one in the memory banks then. If and when he goes to another team. We will just see what happens. If he turns out to be a bum I will say you are right. If he ends up going to the Eagles and making the Pro Bowl. Well most of the time I am right anyways.
I told you about Rich Rod at Michigan. I told you he would not be successful in Michigan. What happened? Like I said we will just see then. You dont have to take my word for it. I am just saying if AH lands in Philly he will wreaking havoc. Especially against us. I dont want that. Especially for a measly fourth round pick.

I could care less about being right or wrong
all I want to see is this fat slob get treated appropriately
If Mike & Jim think he's got anything left at all, they are not giving him up
If there was a chance that this slob could play then they would be getting something for him - somebody is going to make a huge mistake
this guy has shown that he does not have a clue about preparation and playing defense with other players
he's done ... I just hope we can get something for him but I'm sure nobody is stupid enough to pay anything for a player that will not only never, ever, make a pro bowl again, he'll be lucky if he plays in more than 50% of a teams' defensive plays
I would love it if he went to the Eagles for any reason but especially if we got something for him
