Second thought Orton has been a winner. Al has been nothing but a crybaby.
If we can do it, lets do it.

Orton is definitely an upgrade at QB. If Shanny likes Beck this gives him at least an extra year to evaluate and coach him. Orton's not a great player but he'll be at least as good as McNabb/Grossman was, and up until now I figured we'd get worse at QB this year.

So, provided we don't ship anything except one big, fat DT to Denver (i.e., no draft picks!) . . . I do this without hesitation.

I could see Albert in the B&G in 2011...
SHanny is just built that way, if he can't get what he want's in compensation for him now, then he'll keep him until he can.

It might even make Redskins fans happy, if he keeps him he will play him which would mean more 4-3 mixed in with that 3-4 that everyone hates.

FWIW- I think there will be quite player for player trades once the lockout ends.

I agree with your assessment and Shannahan for doing that. We paid the egomaniac too much money to give him is way because he holds his breath. I think if acting like that gets you piles of cash and then cut free, the message to future signees is that's what you do to get your way.
