Talk about the Washington Football Team here. Do you bleed burgundy and gold?

On the bright side the move makes keeping the strong legged kicker Gano less important. We could cut him and get an accurate kicker with more field goals and only a little drop off in kick-offs.

I'll take that bet...

I bet there will be just about no change in the number of fair catches on kickoffs this year compared to past years. :twisted:

I'd agree with this :twisted:

I also think and hope that the ONLY reason for selecting a kicker is that he can kick field goals - having a good field goal kicker that is ALSO able to kick the ball long is a good thing but the most important part of being a kicker is making a high percentage of field goals

ALL kickers need to work on is kicking field goals AND being able to flight the ball according to what the ST coach plans for any and all circumstances

returning the ball and Special Teams play is a very important part of the game
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I agree. How many games did Gano lose for us? I can think of at least 3 maybe 4. Shanny's 1st season as Denvers HC he lead them to an 8-8 record. His 2nd season he led them to a 13-3 record. We WOULD'VE been 9-7 had it not been for Gano. Imagine what Shanny will do the next time the Skins take the field after another draft under his belt. ;furious;

We squandered too many opportunites to be able to put that much blame on Gano. I'm not giving him a free pass, but there were numerous concerns other than him.
...any given Sunday....

RIP #21 Sean Taylor. You will be loved and adored by Redskins fans forever!!!!!

What a useless piece of propagandist rhetoric that is.

How could anyone argue that we squandered MANY opportunities :?: I can't & won't put the full blame of last season on Gano, However, a person CAN put some blame on Gano for 3 different losses. The Tampa game. The Texans game & the Vikings game (I believe).

I like how young he is. I just want to have a kicker who doesn't make your heart race every time he takes the field. [-o<

Like I said before, I'm willing to give him another chance, but I also want to see marked improvement. If not then he can take the 1st plane out of D.C.
as always...HTTR!!!
