Sorry Skinsjock. Just playin' the game here.

Jock, since there was confusion I think you should have the option of starting over. Based on your comment your picks were based on Justice going first.

I"m not sure I understand - Justice Hog has now submitted revised picks but could change his mind?
I don't get it - why make a revised pick, why not wait until I have made my picks
anyway
Pittsburgh
Atlanta
Chicago
New England
total points = 168

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

and this after it was pointed out that he had the "home field advantage" and declaring he did not need it!
so then Justice Hog makes a "revised" pick and we should understand that this doesn't really mean that he will be making that selection

OK

Just trying to resolve the confusion Jock. The last round of discussion was intended to not penalize you for Justice getting mixed up on the process and changing his picks. You have your picks in, it's good.

It's the same during the season. You have up until the deadline to revise your picks as many times as you want. You just need to make a new post with your new picks, which you did.

I'm 'stuck" in Detroit and not able to use the computer much
no worries - I'm fine with being a part of the process - I totally understand the "advantage" but Justice didn't seem to want any part of it ....
hey - it's not that big a deal

during the season is different - we are one on one here - Justice Hog was advised that he had the HFA - I took him at his word when he said he did not need it and took the "under" rather than worrying about picking the winning teams
like I said - no big deal - but it was confusing that he then decided to submit picks and not wait until I had made my choice is all I'm pointing out
As I indicated and Kaz pointed out - initially, I took the under and now I've selected the teams that I think will win - I think Pittsburgh wins and Justice Hog likes Baltimore - no worries

The same rules apply, though. He retains the right to change his picks, up to his deadline.
He just called a TO as the ball was snapped to "ice" your kicker.

I was first shoched with the gap:
And then, I realised that there is a game different, which makes the point spread irrelevant. My slow today.

No, it is not. This is more of a poker game.
One player opens up its game and the other plays against THAT hand.
You have up until the deadline to revise your picks as many times as you want. You just need to make a new post with your new picks, which you did.
If this is the rule, I disagree with this rule.
We had never had this situation before whether we had a timely thread or not. Player that moves first has stayed with its picks all along, win or lose.
It is twice a disadvantage for the "visitor" to be first pick and then, if the opponent waves any advantahe of picking later, be second guessed on the revised picks and having the "home" player play in view of all the submitted information by both in a process which may be repeated a number of times before the game. One of the players may not even have time to come back to the thread and react to the "latest" having thought that the issue was already settled.
So, my suggestion for the Bowl is this:
First picks STAY with each player.
If a "home" player waves any potential advantage to look at his opponents picks and decides to pick first, so be it. The "visiting" team then makes picks based on the information submitted by its opponent.
This rule can be relevant in two cases: games but mostly on total point estimates.
This situation is not an issue anymore in this Bowl. Happily, all parties are satisfied with their picks. However, this situation may happen again and this could be mean trouble ahead.

Wise to reconsider ...
I was trying to mess with Hoss and get him to go high. Payback for what he did to me last year.

Don't know if it worked, but I think it'll be under 40 average a game. I'd have won the last two years, which is as far back as I checked.

You played right into my hand. I'm thinking more on the lines of 170ish. I figured if I posted close to that you would take the under!
We shall see!

People may not remember exactly what you did
or what you said....
~BUT~
they will ALWAYS remember how you made them feel.

Yes we shall. Anyway, since you guys made me play I figured at least the banter would be fun. Not that it was lost on you all. But I'd have won the last two years at 166.

The confusion was my fault. This was my first year doing all of this so I wasn't sure how it all played out.
If I were an ass, I suppose I could change my pick to pick all of the same picks as SkinsJock now and just go one point higher or lower than him as my total point prediction.
I'm not going to do that. I'll still with the Ravens...he can have the Steelers. We'll see how it plays out.
Funny thing. He picked the Ravens at first so I was actually gonna put a new pick in, picking the Steelers....making the total point spread irrelevant. Oh well, he already did that...so we'll just go from here.
Again, sorry for my confusion here.

thanx Justice - absolutely no worries here
As Kaz intimated - I was going to pick the Steelers but when you "surprised" me (& all of us) by picking first AND the fact that I felt that the point spread was not going to be that high = I took the points
I do think that the Steelers/Ravens game could go either way - I just don't see a lot of scoring this w/e
ANYWAY - I'm glad that you're fine with your selections and all the best to you
