Dude, what is your problem?

I think his "problem" is that you make it harder for Hoss to manage this contest. I'm grateful that he does it and want to make it as easy as possible for him. Your color picks are, I'm sure, only amusing to you....

I guess you missed the comment made by Hoss saying that the coloured version of the Hognostications was the most difficult to account for.

Nothing personal brother. Just trying to make things easier for the big guy who does this job for free and spends a lot of his own time keeping up with all the numbers and players.

Thanks for your help.

First off how does it make it more difficult to manage the contest? I have been doing this now for two years and now it's a problem? I say that my picks are in color it's simple. Yes, I am grateful that he does this as well. Secondly, you people must think that I just sit back and think of ways of making things more difficult or I get amusement out of this. No, I just wanted to do something different then anybody else on this board.

Where is the comment made? I went back to the beginning of where I made my original picks and I don't see anything in regards to how I do my picks.

It is true on Hoss's comment. And to be clear he didn't complain, I asked. But regarding the time comment, I was just referring to that you actually sit there and put the tags in to color your selections every week. Tedious and totally pointless. Maybe it amuses you to do once, but every week?

I don't understand why you clowns waste your time about worrying about how I do my picks. I have wasted more time in commenting on this whole picks thing then it has taken me to do all my picks for the whole year. I'm getting tired of how every time I do something on this site, I get people like you nit picking my every move. It does not take me long at all to do my picks. This is ridiculous that this is even a discussion. If Hoss has an issue with something I am doing on this site, then he can address me with his concerns.

I think that, in general, one can reach only one conclusion. When the world is against you, clearly, it is the world that is wrong.

I live by that.

Now, here's the deal. Hoss is a very good guy. He runs this purely out of his generous heart. I did this for ONE WEEK last year, when Hoss needed to take a short break... it took a good deal of time and energy... and was a general pain. In other words, I gained a real appreciation for Hoss, who must compile all of this manually, and with real time constraints.

Seems to me, that it falls upon us to make this as easy as possible for old Hoss... I'm sure you would all agree.

Now, prior to week 12, the following exchange took place:
Hoss wrote:
KazooSkinsFan wrote:New England @ Detroit: Patriots
New Orleans @ Dallas: Saints
Cincinnati @ NY Jets: Jets
Jacksonville @ NY Giants: Giants
Pittsburgh @ Buffalo: Steelers
Tennessee @ Houston: Texans
Green Bay @ Atlanta: Falcons

Minnesota @ Washington: Redskins
Kansas City @ Seattle: Chiefs
Miami @ Oakland: Raiders
Philadelphia @ Chicago: Eagles
St. Louis @ Denver: Broncos
Tampa Bay @ Baltimore: Ravens
San Diego @ Indianapolis: Colts

Hey Hoss, a question. Is there a way you particularly like to see picks posted that makes them easiest for you to compile? I appreciate you make it work no matter how we do it, but if there's a way I can make it easier for you I'd be glad to do that. Like do you care if we post the teams or just the winner? Do you care if we use the city or the nickname?

Thanks for asking. I prefer exactly the way you just posted yours. This definitely makes it the easiest for me.

My least favorite are the colored picks.

I colored and bolded the pertinent text... (I know... ironic, huh?)
I don't know, maybe it's just me... but I think old Hoss is trying to tell us something...

First of all, I treated you with respect. I expect the same back.

Second, nobody is after you. I did this job a couple of years, one by hand andthe other with BossHog and specific software when the number of Hognosticators grew. I know how long it takes to do the accounting (particularly for somebody like me with some advanced math skills but very poor basic arithmetic skills). This gig can and often takes a whole morning or afternoon. He even puts in a Blog !!!

It is reasonable to ask that all members do their share to cooperate.

I am done talking about this. I don't have time to read every single page on every thread and y'all are just wasting your time. As I said at the very end of my last post that if Hoss has an issue with what I do on this site then he can address his concerns with me. Thank you

Wow! I can't believe you are so callous about this. I provided you the link, and CounterTrey even opened it up and highlighted where Hoss said he doesn't like the colored picks, and wants you to use the same format he does in the blog. And you still blow it off like he owes you something, and should take extra time to address you personally. I hope he does, but I'm betting he takes the high road, and just suffers your selfish foolishness in silence.

Well, maybe you'd have more time if you didn't spend so much of it putting the tags in to color your picks.... My 2 cents

To be fair again to Hoss he didn't complain about any of this, he only answered my question and dropped it.

Does anyone else read this as an admission that using the color in making picks is a waste of time?

Of course, not as much as COMMMENTING on it, but, still, a waste of time.

You know what my problem is? My problem isn't the colored thing it's the way that it was brought up. The fact that I was called out on this forum rather then someone address me with a personal email. The fact that for two years I have been doing this and nobody said anything and then out of no where I get a huge reaction. I did not see Hoss comment until it was reposted. I get the fact that Hoss doesn't like the colored thing and I respect that and I won't do it anymore. My response would have been different and would have respected what everybody had to say if someone had addressed it by email. I was frustrated and embarrassed and I do apologize to everyone that I have offended. I would like to ask for forgiveness and would like to start over. Once again I apologize for how I acted
