I agree about replacing Brown if he does not get better health wise....and also contract wise we'll see what hes asking. It would be sweet if Capers can step up. Anyone hear anything from him?
Mike/Bruce - If your going to spring big this year in Free Agency, please spring big on offensive lineman! I cant watch Rabach anymore!

I am a fan of Capers. I hope Shanahan is too. The things that I heard about him all came about during training camp and pre-season. The general theme was that he was very athletic but needed to learn and develop more strength. They projected him (at least at that time) as a Left Tackle. Perhaps that has changed, or maybe he was and is working at both tackle spots. It would be nice to see him emerge as a big-time Right Tackle who can take over the spot if and when needed.

agreed...Im also a fan of Capers and would love him to be able to man that RT spot. I was not sure if anyone had any inside info on how he has been doing on the PS, if he is at RT or LT or both, jsut any info on him really

Why would Dockery making tons of money lead to him being benched?
Because he is not in the teams long-term plans. As a result, why not get the guy you want in there now so that he's experienced next year when you completely cut ties with the over-priced veteran.
Not sure I buy that reasoning. I would think Dockery is well paid for a reason, and you would want some return on that investment.
Well paid for a reason? Not a good bet for a player signed by Cerrato/Snyder!

I agree with what you're saying though that I don't think the amount of money he is making would lead to him being benched. But I'll buy the idea that he's just not in Shanahan's long term plans.
Whatever the reason, I just find it shocking to see Dockery on the game day inactives.

Isn't that like being the toughest guy in Chess Club? I like Rabach, but his being the second best player on a terrible line isn't really a huge accomplishment for him.

Yeah, and Billick said what a good job he was doing.

He also kept calling Artis Hicks "Bryant" throughout the whole segment.

I noticed that too, and commented on it to my wife. What a doofus.
