the Comcast Post Game staff was saying that Cutler did cross the end zone..........BUT we smartly snapped the ball before it could be challenged.
We'll take the W.
We did not snap the ball all that quick. They were simply not going to challenge it and I have no idea why.

Don't get me wrong, I think it was a touchdown. But the reason not to challenge it is that it was close enough and dependent on the camera angle and had to be clear and convincing. They'd just lost another close one and if they lose this they have one TO left and no challenges. And we get the ball on the one foot line. Still, the 5 seconds McNabb dallied before he had them hike the ball seemed an eternity. I was yelling, hike it!!!!! Hike it!!!! How could he have not realized that?

He had a great game. It was nice of him to show up now that the season's almost half over. I'm not talking about the funeral, but that this was the first actual complete game he played.

Give it a rest.... It's not even the half way point yet.

The first pic is the only one that shows the ball. I didn't see that view, previously.
The other pics are the views I saw and none of them are conclusive.

That's like saying John Beck hasn't shown up yet this season. Haynesworth WANTS to be in the game, but Shanny holds him out.

Going to the half way of the season with the same Ws as the total of last year is great.

Or he just loves whining and complaining about the offseason. He needs to get over it.

True. Anybody think though that Shanny is ultimately going to get a better player out of Big Al than we had before? Seriously by not giving him special treatment, punishing him for not practicing and basically holding him accountable, I think you have to respect what Shanahan has done as a coach. How many shots of Haynesworth sucking oxygen on the sidelines have you seen this season? I also think his treatment of our highest paid star player has sent a message to the entire team.
Ugly game today, but I'm all about the win. Look around the NFL at the "elite" teams today and how they did. NO lost to the Browns!!! I'll take this ugly win any day.

Hall is getting a lot of the credit but this game was won because of the dline. Orakpo and Haynesworth both played like absolute beasts and it seemed to me like we were running a lot more 4-3 packages than in previous games. If Haynesworth can play like this going forward our dline is going to be a force.
Not much positive to say about the offense. Drops, fumbles, int's, and poor pass blocking. Most concerning to me though is that McNabb is really starting to look old. Sliding instead of running for a sure first down was a joke. Maybe the Eagles were on to something when they decided to trade him.

McNabb is keeping us in games that Jason wouldn't have. Don't get me wrong, I liked JC, but McNabb just seems to make a play when we need it.
I believe our oline is average at best. Our two guards are both backups and it's showing. I also like to see us replace Rabach. Give McNabb time and he will really look good.

The interior of the O Line is getting beaten consistently. Not that Dockery is a world beater, but I fail to see why Lichensteiger is starting and Dock can't even be active on Gamedays.

We won in spite of McNabb today not because of him. He was beyond awful today. He's better than JC for sure but he is really starting to show his age imho.

The only way I can describe the photo of Haynesworth coming over the line is a whale coming out of the water. And that's not an insult. That is just a beast jumping over the line. Incredible athleticism for such a big guy.

He's at his best when we are protecting him. I don't think it's age. Did you see the day Jay Cutler had?

He's 27.

Don't know if today is the best day to be invoking the "Jason Campbell wouldn't have kept us in this game" chant. JC led a team that hung up a 59-spot...more than we've put up in the last 3 weeks combined.
McNabb missed throws all over the place. After DHall's 3rd pick, Donny had guys running all over the place when we kept

ey in to block (who had a great day pass blocking mind you). Donny missed a wide open Santana Moss doing that crossing route. Missed him high by like 6 ft.
So what play did Donny make when we needed it? DHall and Albert made plays, Donny made 0 plays. I guess you can call the pass to

ey a play, but it was a 7 yd out pattern I would expect any QB to make.
McNabb sucks. And before anybody says, "He's Back"....He is back, and his name is "The Voice of Reason" not "Blind Homerism".

Agreed. However, McNabb has never been a pure pocket passer. What made him a very good qb was his ability to make things happen with his legs, move around the pocket, etc. Today anytime that he ran he just looked slow and lumbering. He looked more like Byron Leftwich moving around than Donovan McNabb.

McNabb would have looked a lot better if his receivers caught the balls that hit their hands.
He had his typical bad throws, and I agree that his age really shows on any plays involving mobility . . . but his passing was better today. I wouldn't go as far to say that we won "in spite" of him.

I would diagree but I think it would fall on deaf ears.
As hot as #5 was early in the game, I new he would run cold later, that is just who he is.
The problem is, when he throws a ball that would have been a long TD to a young WR that normally has great hands and he drops it and then he throws the next pass for a first down to his most reliable guy (Cooley) and he drops it, you just know it is going to be one of those days!
Then you have that fluke pick six by the Bears (what a great play by that DB!) and you really know it is goingt to be a weird day!
You get your young RB to put together what should have been a game clinching drive and he fumbles the ball on the 10 after picking up a first down. Then D Hall gets the ball right back and

ey gets flagged for "illeagle batting", you just had to know the kicker was going to miss the kick! And when you saw the bad snap (gods I miss the Red Snapper) you new it was bad before Gnau even made contact!
Ugly game but we won because of the Defense, vut I wouldn't say we won inspite of McNabb!
Props to the D! I have been killing them recently (and I still don't think JH is worth 2 cents), but today they got us a win!
P.S. What a BIG run by Torain in the last two minutes to cement the win!
