If I'm right, Trotter salary cap would be 4.5 mil. That would be 8 mil the Skins save. We would likey get a 2nd or 3rd rd pick. I know Kevin Mitchell is a good player, but he's not a starter. i'm smelling there's a secret going on here. Could it be possible that we trade our no.1 pick for some great player out of the blue. I'm sensing something huge is coming down in the next few weeks.

THIS SUCKS EVERYBODY! WHY WILL WE LET JEREMIAH WALK??!?! We better get something good in return for him or I will be P*SSED. Mitchell is a good player but no where near Trotter's level when Jeremiah is healthy.

I'm disappointed too. What about depth at MLB?...even if Mitchell does start?

I have to question this move. We are going to take huge cap hit this year and next. Does anyone know what his salary is for the next two years minus his signing bonus? I just dont get why pay out money for the next two years for someone that isnt on our team. I am confused. Does anyone have an answer?

Of all Danny Boys signings, Trotter was the second worst (behind Deion). Mitchell is just as good, if not better.
Anybody notice that Springs is already out with a knee injury? Not a good sign.

There is zero reason to be bummed about this. Why would you be bummed about him getting the boot?
Trotter was a huge bust as a Redskin. Period. Remember the Carolina game last year? If I remember correctly, after the first game of the 2002 season, Marvin Lewis was very upset with him for playing with no regard for the gameplan.
You've got to trust in Gibbs. He and his coaches watched every bit of film on Trotter and decided that he was a problem.
This is why we brought back Gibbs - to rectify the mistakes made by Mr. Snyder.

I read an article today that said that the team had a no contact scrimmage today and williams rushed 11 players and they crushed the front line. Gibbs said that he had never seen and 11 man rush. Williams said that he wanted to set an example to thet whole team that they are going to do things that arnt ordiary but they have to be open minded b/c there are going to be changes with things that they have never seen before but it will work to their benefit. I am just excited that there is a creative group of coaches. With all their experience and minds together, i think that a lot of teams are going to be shocked. Its not going to be the same skins as 10 years ago. And maybee Trotter didnt fit that phylosophy.

I think he is right behind Deion and Bruce Smith but I'll agree he was a terrible signing!! I love Mitchell!! My last memory of him was watching the last Dallass game and watching him on the sidelines with his head down in total frustration.
Don't worry Kevin cuz things are looking up

I love what Williams did - I love the speech Gibbs gave...
Brunell was the one who said he hadn't ever seen an 11 man blitz... he said he didn't know if he could have finished the play
I love the aggressivness of Williams - man after my own heart
I give the board my word - I will visit this man some major agony if he turns into another cover 2 specialist

What can I add to this that hasn't already been said ? I was enamored with the (here we go, my least-favorite swearword that brings #82 to mind) POTENTIAL of Jerimiah Trotter.
I have to believe that Joe and Gregg know more about football than I do.
Heck, maybe Linda does, too. She called this one a few threads back, didn't she ?
At any rate, to paraphrase my good man SKIR...No one man is more than the team.
