Yeah, I saw that too, that should have been called. They are not going to catch these kind of breaks during the regular season. With that said, its nice to see when can happen with an explosive non-dancing punt returner handling the ball.

I believe there have been two, count them TWO, touch backs in this game. I don't think Suishy had two his whole time here.

Im watching the game about 1 hour behind as i got off work late, but snap! So far so good. Ive learned to not take much stock in preseason, but we look like a cohesive team.

I didn't get a chance to see the list of active players today. Does anyone know why we haven't seen anything from Larry Johnson or Willie Parker yet?

Dominance. This is a new feeling. Preseason or not, this is execution. It will translate into the regular season. No playing around, no "me me me", all team.

Well, I must admit that I'm very impressed thus far. Still, there is one thing that is making me slightly apprehensive about our performance right now.

Does anyone remember Steve Spurrier's first year in Washington? We played a pre-season game against the 49ers and we just looked incredible! We scored a ton of points and blew out the Niners back when they were still good. The next thing you know, we're getting our butt's handed to us on a weekly basis.

Now by no means am I suggesting that the Shanahan's are anywhere near the unproven fool that Spurrier turned out to be. I'm just simply saying that while there's definitely room for optimism, there is a definite sense of deja vu!

Still..... HTTR!!!

Are you comparing Spurrier to The Big Shan....?

I was thinking the same thing, when Spurrier ran up the points against the 49 niners. But this feels different. It's scary, everybody just looks well coached. Hail to the Redskins!!!

No, no, no, no! Absolutely not! Please refer to the final paragraph of my post which clearly states that I'm not comparing the Shanahan's with Spurrier.

I'm a long time fan who has unfortunately become accustomed to being let down by recent skins teams! I normally would be jumping up and down cheering right now, but I'm trying to keep my emotions in check.

I am certainly happy with the apparent progress!

Max,
You're like most of us. A little excited. Trying to check ourself into not getting overly excited. Telling yourself it's wk 1 of the preseason. It's the bills, etc.

No the 2nd team was pretty damn good earlier. I think this is the 3rd and has been for a while.

Yeah i mean whichever is in now, wasn't sure if it was 2nd or 3rd...but they are bad. I noticed they had T. Williams in with the 1st and the 2nd stringers and he looked real solid.
