Please! Are you telling me you would think less of a SB victory, because you didn't think we were really the best team? Seriously? Can you hedge your bets any more?
no! that's not what I mean't and you know better
I want to win every game - I just want the team to be consistently competitive because they are better - we are on the right track but there is no way, with the players we have right now and our depth that we can go from what we saw last year to being consistently competitive this season
I'm encouraged at the amount of progress but there are still a lot of issues this group has to overcome and I believe it will take this season and hopefully a great offseason of pick-ups, trades and draft picks for us to get close to having a consistently competitive product on the field each week
I do believe that we'll see a much improved attitude though and that counts for a lot as well
I think what you are saying is:
Best is winning because we are the best team.
2nd best is winning because we got lucky.

A win is a win is a win. How you get there doesn't matter. You can qualify it to give yourself a warm and fuzzy all you want, but the notch in the W column is all that matters.

If the Skins won a SB I would organize a parade down Broad Street in Philadelphia with a picture of McNabb hugging the Lombardi. I would get T-Shirts with McNabb's picture and the Lombardi with the quote "Yo Philly, That's Four."
Man, McNabb winning a Super Bowl would crush for good the spirit of the Eagle fan.

I'm all for winning every game - I have been so disapointed at the lack of success since the 80s that I'm a little defensive about projections of success each year
Right now I see weakness at a lot of areas but I also see progress - we should be able to manage 8 or 9 wins this season but we do not have an easy schedule and IMHO we are not winning 10 games
we will improve this season and I believe these guys can actually put us in the playoff hunt next season which in itself is a huge deal
I disagree with JSPB but what else is new
