If you get zero pressure on the QB no secondary in the NFL can stop the pass. The rush is the issue, not the secondary.

I think it's both. We can't get to the QB with a standard rush, IMO because of this 3-4, and we can't blitz because our DBs can't make plays off of quick hits. We need to run a more conservative defense because we don't have the personnel to be aggressive. I think Haslett is suffering from some hubris where he think he can scheme players into doing what they can't.

We have to blitz because any NFL QB is going to shred you if you don't put any pressure on him. Look what time did for a mediocrity like Mark Rypien. Your expectation of the secondary's just not realistic. Without any pressure you're toast. See the Skins in the second half last week or any time today for a demonstration of that...

Wow I needed a good laugh.

I think you need both a rush and a secondary but if you think our secondary ie elite then........................................... give me a drink of what your having because that is some good stuff.

what ever dude he said the rush is the problem not the secondary.

looks like he likes something about it.

What part of ................................................. "IF YOU THINK THIS SECONDARY IS ELITE" don't you understand.

Last time that I checked that is asking a question.

I know everyone is ill because the Rams handed the Skins there arse today .

I'm going to be nice about the hyperbole and exaggeration comments.

So lets just chill ok.

The skins defense sucks all the way to the D- line to secondary and it shows and hurts.(except for a handful of players)

Well... I do know the difference between a sentence fragment and a question... and I do know that a question is always indicated by the use of a question mark... (which, btw, still does not make an appearance in your post)

And I also know that when Kazoo stated that the pass rush is the problem, not the secondary that it is NOT the same as calling the secondary elite... and that putting words into his mouth do not make your argument better.

See exactly what I'm talking about Countertrey.

You just can't leave it alone can you?

What argument?

The one you are trying to start?

Pathetic.

I stopped posting on here for a long time just for the exact reason above
and to be honest it's stupid.

I asked for everyone to take a chill pill and let it go but right back you come with same stuff.

I'm ready to let it go and move on OK

Good night and let's hope we see some improvement in the skins next week.

duh! - you should be looking at the fact that we are a lot better than we were - ANYONE that thought we were going to be "elite" is just blind to the reality - we have addressed certain issues very well but we were a terrible group and we are a lot better

we are still looking like an 8-8 or 9-7 (at best) record IMO - that is a huge upgrade from last year

there are a lot of VERY unrealistic fans here - they really have no clue

I agree Kaz - I really hope that Mike steps up this week and does SOMETHING

I did not like what I was seeing and I feel that the coaches need to do a better job - Danny Smith, Kyle S AND especially Haslett, ALL have to take the heat for this

I think that it's mainly due to not finding a better way to use the players we have on BOTH offense and defense AND minimizing the penalties - this is on the coaches

The Rams coaches embarrassed our coaches - they lost Jackson on offense AND Atogwe (sp?) on defense and their coaches adjusted - our coaches did not do nearly as well in adjusting to what was happening
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance

I think that what we saw on Sunday was really bad and the fact that it involved bad performances by all facets of the game is troubling

I just don't agree that it's "the same old Redskins" - bad, sure! but not as bad as the consistently terrible group that played last season - I think that we have improved and while that performance was very disapointing I think that we are improved from last year

some here are unrealistic in their expectations - we have a lot of things that we need to fix & it will take time

The defense is a lot worse than last year. The offense is so hit or miss, we don't know which is to be expected. It's tough to say what was worse so far.

I rate hit or miss over miss, so I think the O has been better then the D. Then again I think we have a lot more talent on D from top to bottom then O so I'm not saying I'd keep our O over our D. But our D has just been bad.

I think that we are in a world of trouble but unlike last year when we started to look at the reality we all knew we were terrible with no chance at being better
IMO that's primarily why Snyder brought in Allen & Shanahan and let them do what they are doing - to try and change the attitude here & rebuild this franchise

I'm looking at the bad things that we are seeing and thinking & hoping we can get better, this year

this is not as hopeless as some here are making it out to be - there are some positives and some good coaches and players here - last year that hope was a dream - this year we have a chance

I think that some are thinking things here are just going to continue to be as bad as they were in the past - those days are gone

have patience and look for the improvements - don't be so hard on yourselves - be a little more realistic

we are already better because this year we can hope to be better - last year we had nothing

let's look at this week - just got to love these divisional games - these games bring out the best

how great is this?
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance

Sorry, Kazoo

I was just trying to explain what got me so wound up Sunday night.

Nothing against anyone just trying to let everyone know what was going on.

Actually what you quoted wasn't what got my upset it was something else.

Anyway no big deal now.

Anyone think we have a chance at beating the Eagles?

I think we have a chance.

4 weeks agao there were a number of people that thought we had a chance at the playoffs

3 weeks ago we beat the pukes, whom some thought could be playing in the Super Bowl

2 weeks ago we had the Texans down by 17 and they had just beaten the Colts who I think will be in the Super Bowl

1 week ago we played a game we might have won but we could not overcome really bad performances on the part of our special teams, our offense and our defense - this was a whole team collapse that we might have even won if we had been very lucky

HELL YES - we can win this game

we probably shouldn't considering how well the Eagles have played with Vick - his QB play is the best he's ever been - but we can win

I'm kind of looking forward to it - we cannot be that bad again, can we

I believe that in divisional game, all bets are off, so we have a chance. I'm still curious as to which facet of our team will show up, if any. And most of all, I'm looking for hustle and progress. If we start getting consistant and lose, I'll be just as happy as inconsistant and win; happier probably b/c that means we're movin in the right direction for the long haul.

totally agree Vet  - getting closer to game time?

it's going to be tough because it's at their house and their QB is playing lights out right now, but ....

I also want to see better evidence of a defense that is supposed to both be a more effective defense and create the opportunities for more turnovers

I understand that we have issues offensively but I think that Haslett has the players on defense, he just needs to get more from them and have a better game plan for the team he's looking at this week - if his defense looks as inept as it has, he's not going to be running it

I think that all of our coaches were out coached last week - I'm hoping that that is a rarity also ....

I think we win this - we have to start being the team that wants it more and this is a statement game

:D Good call Hoss!!!!!

Still was a ugly win but hey we have two divisional wins now and a win is a win!

Defense played better but still lots of room for improvement.

Nice to see a running game again and hope Portis will be ok.

The offense didn't do anything in the second half of this game should've put the eagles away.

#74 Heyer why is still on this team? How dumb was that false start penalty it just kills me lol.

Anyway keep on trying to improve Skins you will get there soon.
