I know there's not much film on him, but what little there is showed he knew how to run a fade route without fighting his own body like Kelley...

He had one catch last year during the regular season for four yards, being the 5th WR and not playing on any special teams units didn't help the lack of film issue, but who's fault is that. Being a 7th round pick almost mandates that they play on teams if he's a WR,CB.S,LB, or RB. I would have loved to have seen if he would work in Shanny's system but with 9 other guys fighting for half as many roster spots they saw that he wasn't going to fit. Like Kelly, Marko had trouble getting off the line of scrimmage.

Kelly might be next

I think it was 4 catches for 32 yards. While less than impressive, it is 4 more catches & 32 more yards than Hagans & R. Williams COMBINED :!:

I'm glad he went to a place that's rebuilding. He's got Calvin Johnson to work beside and a franchise QB in Stafford. Good luck Marko and I'm still pullin for ya!!!

I think Kelly probably does have more of an upside, but he had a whole 3 catches for 18 yards his rookie year and didn't play special teams... and he cost us how much compared to Marko??? I just would've liked to see the youngster get a serious look this year... hope he gets that chance in Detroit...

Does anyone know if Kelly is completely healthy at this point or not? I haven't read anything about his knee in months, so hopefully he will be able to get some actual reps in camp this year.

I haven't heard anything and I consider no news is good news...

They are cleaning house for sure. I do not understand all the personnel moves. But I do not understand them because I do not know the plan.

1. There are quite a few missing pieces in this puzzle and I am sure they will look for them.

but ...

2. They are also looking for some players who can help or just be tested throughout the off-season and pre-season.

I am sure that the team we see today in the roster will NOT be the one that takes on the field for the first game. They just made sure that they have enough money left to make some significant overhauling in some other key positions.

Dramatic (and perhaps necessary) turn around in this roster. We may or may not like what we see in every move but there is no question that this is Allen/Shannahan' team now: A brand new and different team.

Will it work? I do not know but I have no doubtwhatsoever that progress has been made. I expect better results. No Superbowl yet though. Just realistic and solid progress.
