Don't get me wrong... I jumped off the Campbell bandwagon over a year ago... when it became clear that he had no killer instinct, and could not finish.
But, darn it, the kid has displayed nothing but class through it all... the draft and trade rumors last year, the lack of an O-line, the McNabb trade... all of it. He has been professional... why would anyone blame him for wanting to start somewhere else?
Why is it necessary to throw classless insults at a man who is nothing but class?

These were not classless insults.... This is what you get when you read a clueless post
Gibbs4Life wrote:Campbell : "Waaah Waaah I want to be a starter, trade me, waaah"
Same S..... different size shovel...
JC never asked for a trade....
G4L got it wrong again
Gibbs4Life wrote:Redskins : "There there Jason, go find a team that wants you and we'll
make the trade"
Shanny has said if JC's agent can find something to work for JC and the team would be find but he want's JC with the Skins as a back up, so it has to be a deal that works for Washington.
G4L was off base again
Gibbs4Life wrote:Campbell : "No one wants me, whenever I call I say I went 4-12 and I'm
looking for a team then they hang up"
JC had a friend that represented himself before he was shot and killed but Campbell has a agent and doesn't have to make ANY calls to ANY team
G4L got it wrong again
Gibbs4Life wrote:Redskins : "Well sign your tender and we'll still try to trade you but
you'll probably have to be our backup"
The Skins advised him he could seek a trade and the deadline to sign his tender wouldn't prevent a move if one came about.
G4L had no idea what he was posting about again
Gibbs4Life wrote:Campbell : "Do I have to work out?"
JC works out at REdskins Park more than most on the roster, up until he talked to Shanny after the McNabb trade...
So.... Yep G4L is talking out of the side of his neck again.

But the mean-ness and hatred some of you are spewing on the guy is just uncalled for. He never whined or complained, took his weekly beatings and did whatever he could to do his job better. You folks should seriousely see a counselor or something to deal with your hatred issues of this man - it must just be poor self-confidence on your own parts. Jeez.
Agree with you completely. Many here simply can't summon up an objective view where Campbell's concerned. Demonstrably untrue comments are a dime a dozen. Fact is, Campbell is a legitimate starting quarterback in the NFL, ranked 15 in the league on a team with a horrible OL, very poor receivers, and no running game. He's also improved every year we've had him. As our team (his support) got worse, he got better-- a definite sign he'll come back to haunt us.
Wow ... what part of "nobody wants him" unless they can get him for free would support this high opinion of him?
I mean .. according to you, they should be lined up like sailors at a brothel for a shot at this "legitimate starting QB" given that a good 1/3 of the teams in the NFL need one.
Who really lacks objectiveness here?

If you're Campbell, you gain my respect by working out with your team as long as it is your team, don't get your feelings hurt and don't shy away from the situation, go in there and out everything McNabb

First and foremost Cambell should have the opportunity to attempt playing QB somewhere else. Trying to play QB in the NFL is tough enough as it is and with no line, we can see how it turned out. We need to show Cambell some respect for not giving up on the Redskins Nation even though he did not look good doing it.
That being said, he did not work well with us and since he signed his tender I expect a 4th or 5th from either the Bills or the Raiders.
Lets show some class because at the end of the day, we arent Philly fans...

Dude, that's just not what's happening. We are trying to accommodate trading him. Shanahan doesn't want him there and he'd be a distraction. According to what I read after the draft if he's still a Skin after the draft he'll be at every voluntary and mandatory event. If we pass the draft and he's still a Skin and not attending this is valid. Given that we just signed our starter and backup QB and clearly communicated he's not in our plans and the draft where lots of these deals are done is next week, it's not.

Why would he need your respect, when he has the respect of his team mates and coaches, including Shanahan?
