I'm sorry Mr Smith, but if there's ANYthing that MIGHT get the Redskins fanbase rallying around Dan Snyder, it's an attack from you, or Michael Irvin...lol.

Dan must actually be secretly delighted about this.

Difference is that Jones has Super Bowl rings, and the core of their titles was guys that they drafted.

Yeah, but Jerrah did nothing to earn those rings, other than hiring Jimmy Johnson. And even then, some of that credit should go to the stupid Vikings for trading their team and future for Herschel Walker.

Come on now, so Emmit said some things about DS... so what? We've said them too. Also, since we're in the area, we also see what good DS does with the public too. Emmit's not from here so he probably wouldn't see those things. Now how in the world do you know if Emmit did anything for Haiti? We don't know and that's my point. Don't be so quick to judge Emmit when you yourself is doing the judging.

I personally love how DS answered Emmit's comments.. good job DS

You don't see the irony of defending a man (Smith) who judged Snyder on his lack of "compassion" (Snyder's generosity to those in real need is very well known), when he had no clue of what he spoke? How about you suggest to Emmet that he not be so quick to judge Snyder? The fact is, it would have been very easy for him to know just how compassionate Snyder is. You're right... no one knows what Smith may have done for Haiti...

But what Snyder has done IS known.

Perhaps, had Emmet been a little less quick to judge... no one would have said a word about Emmet. Sometimes, you reap what you sow.

I agree with that CT.. if he's gonna speak on it, he should at least know facts

B/C even though DS may not have the best rep, he's still the Redskins owner. And when a former Cowpuke talks smack about anything affiliated with my Redskins, I shall defend. Even if it's Dan Snyder. The rivalry usurps personal feelings IMO, as previously stated.

So what? Emmit Smith loves beating the Redskins. Skins players and their fans love beating the Cowboys. What is so bad about that? And who cares what he said about the OWNER of the football team. Last time I checked, DS is not Jack Kent Cooke, and he certainly isn't Joe Gibbs or any other classy individual in Redskins history. Snyder wants to win football games, I respect him for that, he just hasn't figured out how to do it yet and has made some questionable, heartless decisions in relation to coaches and players. You could say that about just about any boss in America.

On a side note, I lived in Pensacola for a few years, and of course Emmit Smith went to high school there. He was always good to his home community and the people there love him. I don't think Emmit knows the whole story about DS's personal generosity, but I don't think his diatribe was directed at anything but Snyder's handling of the football team for the last decade. Every Redskin fan has said the same thing. Would it be so bad if say, John Riggins was asked the same question and he said, "I loved beating the Cowboys. I loved it, loved it, loved it. I especially loved watching it happen when Jerry Jones bought the team and booted Tom Landry and then went 1-15 in their first season with Aikman at the helm" Nope. We would have loved JR to say that. Get over it.

Since John Riggins was part of the skins and not a rival team TALKING about the skins, it's not the same context. And if you want to support the Cowboys, then there's other forums for that...

He said alot more than that, he said Dan wasn't compassionate. Dan donated a million dollars to the tsunami years back and now is affording similar relief to Haiti. This is more than Emmit will ever do for people he doesn't know that are suffering. This is the bottom line and I'm glad Mosley pointed some of it out. Hail all things Redskin, Dan we have you're back.

I doubt Emmit is smarter than a 5th grader

We've also heard Riggins talk about Snyder's "dark heart." Yes, he has donated a lot of money to relief, which he should be applauded for. However, over the years we've also seen multiple reports of him treating employees poorly. It's also telling how few former Redskins still come around the team.

If you compare it to teams like the Cowboys, Giants, and Steelers the difference is pretty significant. Those always have former players around the team...at training camp, pratice, on the sidelines during games, at team functions, etc. Rarely do you see that here, other than with Theismann. Go to a Steeler training camp and compare it to our camps and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Obviously you missed my point. I will try to bring it down for you...IF John Riggins talked about the Cowboys, it would be the same as Smith talking about the Redskins. We would have cheered had he done that. Who cares what a former opponent has to say about the Skins? You should expect them to say they loved beating the Skins. I would be shocked if Smith didn't say that. Hell, since George Allen and Cowboys week, I would be shocked if any former Skin or Cowboy didn't say their favorite team to beat was the Skins or Cowboys.

And, when did I say I support the Cowboys? I think you need reading comprehension 101.

The difference is angle, I don't support anything a former or present Cowpuke says. Especially an overrated one like Smith. If you wanna support him, go ahead.
